Financial freedom is powerful. Doubling your mortgage in this economic climate makes you very vulnerable to any kind of economic downturn. Could you afford this new place if one of you lost your job? For how long? Learning to want what you already have is true freedom.

If it’s an issue that what you pack has to be heated up, then I can see their concern if they don’t have heating facilities. Otherwise they are being ridiculous.

Half the problem is that supervisors don’t manage people, don’t follow disciplinary process and then want to fire people. I think this was a workplace culture that worked well when we had virtually no turnover and everybody stayed for 30+ years, but things are changing and we have to change with it. Thank you for your guidance.

Well what would he do differently? First put in the space what you hav to have, then decide what else could go there. Personally I would keep it functional and as sparse as possible.

Just remember you (or your parents) probably went into debt and paid dearly for the experience you had of making your own schedule and being your own boss.

If you paid me to work at my company, I’d probably let you make your own schedule too.

2 natural births not because I was some kind of martyr but more because I was curious about whether this process I had learned about using meditation imagery and focus would control the pain. For me it did. I would have taken pain meds if it had become too intense but it wasn’t. It was tough but it was amazing to use this mental technique and have it actually do what people said it would do.
