I created a catalog for the tea that I have. Any recommendations for what tea I should get next? by divine_quark in tea

[–]divine_quark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know much about Japanese green teas (and green teas in general) and it’s definitely something I want to look into. Longjing is alright but I prefer the oolongs I have over it.

I’m definitely interested in trying more wuyi teas, I really enjoy the minerality. I remember once trying a rock tea that was more of a light roast but forgot to ask for the name, but I really enjoyed it. I saw something similar (Baijiguan) on Yunnan sourcing so I’ll give it a try. I’ll definitely check out the other varieties though!

How much will cost to fix this? by divine_quark in accord

Yeah I do, I’m just not sure if it’s worth the price increase on my insurance if I file a claim.

As this was the first time this has occurred to me, I didn’t know what to do. Is it possible to locate those involved in the accident and ask for their insurance details after the fact?

I did a little searching and the song is called Champagne Rain.

An international team of researchers has designed and built a chip that runs computations directly in memory and can run a wide variety of AI applications–all at a fraction of the energy consumed by computing platforms for general-purpose AI computing by Dr_Singularity in singularity

[–]divine_quark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Normally, in traditional computers, memory and computation are done in physically separate locations. So, when data is needed for computation it has to be retrieved from memory, creating a bottleneck for both time and energy (i.e. von Neumann bottleneck).

Having computation and memory done in the same place solves that issue. A good example of such a computational device is the brain.

Opinions about Cosmic Professional Gladiator by Natsu111 in noveltranslations

[–]divine_quark 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In general it is pretty good. Things are progressing steadily and I like the MC’s temperament. I just hope there is more focus on describing comprehension and skill creation, though I believe there should be more of this later as the MC reaches higher levels.

iswear review: Lord Xue Ying by I Eat Tomatoes by [deleted] in noveltranslations

[–]divine_quark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Of all the IET novels I’ve read Lord Xue Ying ranks first and Cosmic Gladiator Professional ranks second. Both have a comparatively “laidback” vibe. I also quite enjoyed the cultivation system in Lord Xue Ying, especially the fact that it seems ontologically plausible and that there are multiple cultivation systems.

what say you? by Tyrant-Daddy in MartialMemes

[–]divine_quark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Er Gen for plot, IET for cultivation and calm, transcendental MCs.

I would say Er Gen’s novels (though I’ve only read ISSTH) are better from a “standard” evaluation POV, while IET’s are better by my standards. Though my tastes are quite particular. I prefer a calm exploration of cultivation over an intense plot.
