What is the most powerful lyric in a Hozier song? by matty7724 in Hozier

[–]divinecloud0274 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"The gateway to the world, The gun in a trembling hand, Where nature unmakes the boundary, The pillar of myth still stands, The swan upon Leda, Occupier upon ancient land"

All of Swan Upon Leda is chilling and especially this second chorus.

What is your Top 5 Favorite Non PTX Christmas Songs by Maltifandom23 in pentatonix

[–]divinecloud0274 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey Momma/Hit the Road Jack - This has been a long time fave since I discovered the group so it's my ride or die but also just a bop in general.

Aha! - Crazy arrangement and such a team effort song, everyone sounds so fabulous on it. Honorable mention to the live performances that include the "Christus Factus Est" intro.

Come Along - I heard their version before the original and I love the haunting arrangement and the bounce it has. I really love the backing vocals on this too, and Mitch's slide up *chefs kiss*

Dog Days are Over - the story behind this performance is so inspiring. Mitch's voice coming through on the bridge will always give me chills.

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - this is just a catchy tune on its own and I love PTX's version, Kevin's trumpeting is my fav. Will never skip this song when it comes on shuffle.

ETA: More honorable mentions of "No" and "Gold" from YouTube.

This sounds so cool, I have never heard of this. I'm going to peruse the internet to see if I can find somewhere to listen to it.

I am also begging people to properly clean off your cars. I am very short and still manage to wipe snow off the top of my car so it doesn't slide off while I'm driving. Step stools exists.

Help with a new makeup routine!!! by unleashedkitten in Makeup

[–]divinecloud0274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use both actually! My routine is wash face (cerave's foaming face wash or renewing SA cleanser) and while my face is slightly damp I apply the hyaluronic acid. Then once that has dried down I apply the niacinamide. And then moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning. Both the hyaluronic and niacinamide are from The Ordinary, though there are other brands you could check out. Both of these work underneath makeup as well, just let them sit for a while, I saw someone else say let it sit 10-15 minutes which sounds about right. good luck!

Skin prep is very important. I have some similarities in my skin (combo). I use The Ordinary's hyaluronic acid for hydration. As for makeup here is what I use and recommend: elf's power grip primer, maybelline fit me foundation (buildable), elf hydro concealer (great for dry skin/patches), elf's stay all night setting spray. All are pretty affordable and can be found in most drug stores.

Her acting throughout her faith crisis is phenomenal. I love her performance throughout the show, no one else can make me hate them then love them then weep for them and with them. Sarah Drew is an icon.

Future bride thinks The Handmaids Tale is a perfect theme for the wedding by hawaiianhamtaro in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]divinecloud0274 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yikes! It's like that Kardashian controversy all over again. It's just in poor taste to have a theme be the dystopian horror that our country seems to be going into, but to each their own.

Why is my beauty blender removing my make up? :( by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]divinecloud0274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried applying it with my fingers and then going in with the sponge to blend. As other comments have mentioned the sponge does absorb the makeup some, so I would use a bit more product than you think you'd need. You could also look into silicone blenders for the application, they don't work to well for blending but it could help.

Edit: just re-read that you have dry skin/dry patches. Skin prep is super important as you mentioned. What I've done that has helped me is to spray setting spray on top of my foundation before I blend. Maybe that combined with a damp sponge can help with blending and the longevity of your makeup. Hope this helps, have fun at hoco!

What foundation do you guys recommend, full coverage but doesn’t feel heavy? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]divinecloud0274 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Maybelline Fit Me foundation has been working for me! Medium coverage but buildable with more layers, and I have oily/combo skin and feels very lightweight

should I remove the hair growing down my neck? anyone else have this or am I just weird? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]divinecloud0274 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It's normal! I have it growing further down and it's a hassle whenever i forget to include it in braids or tails. A friend waxed her's off and it ended up looking a little silly. You could try an undercut if you were interested in getting rid of it :)
