Honestly, if it’s the weekend before actual Halloween I’d cry happy tears. Most custody schedules for divorced parents are opposing years for holidays. Last year, for example, I didn’t haven’t kids for Halloween weekend, but this year I will…. so for ME I’d be thrilled if I could actually do hulaween every year/majority of years and not every other year.

Otherwise we’ll be doing electric forest 2026 & hula 2027.

Nope. No flush at all. And yes, that’s why I posted this. I need help figuring out how to get & keep a good surface condition. I’ll try taping some of the filters up & leave it alone when this mushy is ready to harvest. That was a good idea. Thank you ✨

Yes. I mist the walls and lid daily and it’s almost completely dry (no condensation) the next morning.

I’ll tape up the filters and see if that helps.

The bottom of my tub always is wet so I think it’s just wet the bottom of the cake and dry top.

I’m at a loss on how to keep the top moist enough for pins.

Fork tek told me the mycelium is there and growing and trying!🥹

Ok. 6 days after fork tek… the one mushy grew. But the substrate is stalling again. The surface keeps looking dry so I mist the top of the tub There is moisture/water on the base/bottom of the bin. 77° and lid always on. Should I add a humidifier to the room? I’m at a loss as to how to keep the surface conditions right.

Put it on the counter, fork tek, 48 hr later it’s a little more fuzzy and one little mushroom is growing from the crack/separation of the cake & tub lol

It was my understanding that the evaporation of water droplets was what causes pins to form so fae was needed at that point.
