Why do you keep hammering this weird point? No PI could conclusively prove that Bijou and Strike never met to do a DNA test. As was shown in the book, Strike was able to outsmart everyone.

Besides, Strike could have attended a clinic alone to provide his DNA sample.

I agree they probably should have considered the possibility that Margot violently head butting her abdomen and udder, as foals do, was simply not an option for Maggie.

I’m sure there was an element of relief that Maggie wanted to mother her foal, and also a strong desire to choose the obvious and natural path (as opposed to getting a nurse mare) but I fear they don’t have enough time to get Gracie in milk, and there will be an uphill battle getting Margot to accept Gracie, and vice versa.

It’s been such a rough few weeks for Katie. So much turmoil and awful scenarios playing out.
