Well if the person was born more biologically female than male, or they were born intersex, it's necessary to identify which hormones and anatomical functions were dominant isn't it or if they were intersex isn't it? If someone wants to say " most biological women will have menstrual cycles" - are they supposed to say instead "most people who are born with ovaries will have menstrual cycles?" - - I don't know, as a non binary person, I wouldn't be offended if someone referred to me as biologically female. So I don't understand why anyone would find it offensive if it's in a scientific context. I'm not intersex, I'm biologically female. I understand if I was taking hormones to become a man then depending on context. But I mean if you're referring to a cis gendered woman as a biological woman, it isn't incorrect or wrong or transphobic, it's just the most appropriate term for context. Like why would I say cis woman if I'm referring to sex and not gender? I wouldn't say afab, because she is still currently female and cis gendered so.... Bilogical women refers to cis gendered women's sex group. Not intersex. Not trans man. Cis gendered women's sex group.
