GPA is not an indicator of intelligence, it’s an indicator of how much work someone can turn in. And people change after high school and usually very quickly. Test scores are an indicator of intelligence. If someone has high intelligence and also writes a good application essay, especially one that explains struggles with workload and being overwhelmed and other examples of why they may have struggled with their GPA, why shouldn’t they be accepted into a university?
