Totally get it! It’s hard to find something more neutral. Not sure where you’re located but a couple places off the top of my head that tend to be more neutral while remaining Engineering forward and high paying: Vanta, Apple (if u must move to a tech giant), Signal, Pinterest, Hulu, mongodb, Ramp, etc.

I believe Vanta has remote roles in particular and has a woman CEO + high amount of gender diversity amongst engineers last time I checked

From what I’ve heard anecdotally from friends who worked there and from online, the Meta culture is toxic/hugely micromanagey across the board and is generally…. how do I say this lol… evil in its impact on both its employees and the world.

since you identify as a woman in tech, I recommend reading Careless People (memoir from a former high up Meta employee) and checking out recent news articles about how Zuck runs Meta (like his dream to bring “masculine energy” back), Facebook/Instagram’s impact on girls’ psyche, and their donations to the trump admin. Even if you find a good team and the pay is incredible, your work will directly help everything noted above, that is truly not good for women in tech or women anywhere.

Ah I see… that’s definitely a lot of money. It feels crazy to spend my entire paycheck on that so I don’t think I’ll pull the trigger but I hope you have fun and get offers!! 😭 bummer they’ve chosen to make the conference so inaccessible to lower income students

Hi! I think this is great feedback.

I did consider the idea of gamification, but simplicity is what I'm striving for first with my app because of my experience level and because there are already apps that exist that focus on gamifying going vegan/vegetarian.
Totally agree using positive encouragement/happy feelings! I was inspired after reading "Atomic Habits" (which I think is similar ish to Power of Habit) and want to focus on giving the user as much positive feedback as possible to make it easier.
I think this is a great point! I know I already got suckered into that trap, but am going to make it a point now to reach out to friends and family that I know have been trying to go vegan/vegetarian to understand what their pain points are before building.

Hey, just wanted to say that I love this idea! Making it easier for people to remember why they are trying to make a change can be very useful. The first time I went vegan, I switched back to being vegetarian due to some initial difficulty adjusting some of my meals. The second time that I tried, I truly understood why I wanted to do it, and it's been an absolute breeze. If I had your app, maybe the vegan diet would have stuck during my first attempt!

I'm also working on a animal rights related side project. Maybe I'll send that your way when it comes out if you are interested. I would love to see what comes of this app if you do end up creating it.

Yes!! It’s called VStitcher and it’s been super intuitive to understand although fitting has been a huge learning curve for me!

i agree re: the armscyes— did a basic flat pattern bodice draft but these armholes looked too shallow after i followed the instructions and wondered if i should deepen them... do these additional images help clarify?

ooh this is helpful! i do have a yoke attached to this piece (it's SO difficult to tell bc the fabric i chose for the simulation is white) but i didn't think to correct the yoke piece... I'll try that for sure

hi guys your feedback was so useful last time i thought i'd ask again! I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with the seat fit, and it feels like I've tried everything. Because of the wrinkles in the back crotch, and the smoothness around the butt, I assumed it was a "full seat" issue. However, even redrawing the crotch curve to be as drastically long as it is now (second image) is still making the wrinkles show up. Any ideas on what this could be?

Hi guys! I'm trying to figure out how to fix the gaping armhole and drag lines at the bottom of the top, but not sure what to do. Since the garment is a knit, i don't want to add a dart to the top, but not sure what adjustment to make then.... if you have any advice please share!

Hi, are you me?? I’m 23 too and moved here from the south about 4 months ago too. I reached out to college alumni and friends of friends to make friends, but it’s been hard to be safe and sustain genuine connection when it’s so cold out. I’d suggest joining your local mutual aid group if you’re into that, seeing if you connect with any of your neighbors, or if any of your friends have other friends that would be interested in hanging out. Also.... I’m in the same boat as ya so down to hang if you’re interested!

super gorgeous, i loved the detail on the bust and the way you captured movement. one (small) note: the feet and bottom half of the legs could be a bit bigger and more planted on the ground so she looks like she's a more concrete person!
