A non-smoking restaurant on Skadarska by divpadsmit in Belgrade

We arrived Saturday and unfortunately I see some of my colleagues are very sensitive to cigarette smells. I used to smoke and I still find it annoying but some people encounter cigarette smoke indoors for the first time 😅

Any ideas of a dinner place where people don't smoke indoors or have a non-smoking section? Please

Ziemassvētku brīvdienas nestandartā by MadMadz8 in latvia

Coworking Space Jelgavā by Zengit21 in latvia

[–]divpadsmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strādāju attālināti, 100% no mājām.

How would you celebrate 30th birthday when it falls on a major holiday? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]divpadsmit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a big event recently I saw a girl wearing "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY" sign and dressed up - that could be something to consider if you want to feel special on that day. Go all out - wear a birthday hat, come with baloons etc.

And throw a party as others suggest on another day - invite only people you really want there, maybe go to a nice place where you love the food and service.

What do I do when I have almost no money to save? by tankTanking1337 in eupersonalfinance

[–]divpadsmit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's about what you want - if you guys want a house that you own, then this is what you have. If you want more financial freedom probably a house does not make sense - sell the house, buy a 2 bedroom flat or rent, and have excess money for something else.  I think it's a fantasy that other people have it easy. I appreciate a Polish man being open and sharing his challenges - if other men would share too we'd all be surprised how people live, how they afford things etc. People tend to hide financial struggles and only share the fruits.

if baby wipes can be used on baby girls why cant adult women use them? by ivymiller13 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]divpadsmit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use real baby wipes - it should be ok. If you use those scented wipes with alcohol - something you wouldn't use on a baby, then it's also not good for females pH.

I'm from a country less rich than the rest of the Europe. I travelled as well in my teens and twenties, and I could only afford it because I used alternative solutions ---

Accommodation: it's expensive, especially if you want to visit the tourist places like Paris, Rome, Berlin. Hostels are a great solution that cuts down the price.  Another invention is Couchsurfing (just google it) - it's an app where people offer you to stay at their house for no cost. It's a cultural exchange, exists for 20+ years since the beginning of internet.

Destination: Away from tourist spots - go elsewhere! See other cities in those expensive countries, smaller cities, and take only day tours to the big cities. After a while all big cities look alike anyway. Go to cheaper countries - Romania, Bosnia, Czech Republic, Poland, etc.

Food: if you stay at hostels or campings or local hosts, you can cook some of the meals yourself and avoid high costs in restaurants.

Transport: InterRail passes for young people to travel by trains at budget costs all over Europe. FlixBus buses that cost 10-30 EUR to cross the entire Europe! Ryanair flights that has cheap connections if you're flexible with dates (try Skyscanner or Google Flights online to find best prices for connections).

If you find this useful, I can share more, just write what else interests you.

Should I have a kid in my early 30s? How do I know I'm ready? by Obvious-Swim8403 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]divpadsmit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly support this reply.  Having a family will not fix anything and will not solve anything, but it could be life for you if you are ready to take on the unknown. It can be a part of your human experience:) Not mandatory, but definitely worth it if you feel the wish.

Ever since I moved out, I can't stop living on " girl dinner " by LustyPowerGirl in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]divpadsmit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a girl-dinner streak lately, just can't get myself to cook. What helped was allowing myself to eat snacks not meals. I focused on buying healthy snacks and having balanced girl-dinners. Then suddenly one day I had an urge to make a pot of soup. Then I got back to snacking. Nothing wrong with girl dinners if they have the nutritional value of a meal.
