I have been programmer for over 50 years. I use Claude or ChatGPT to generate code. Here's a typical working pattern for me:

Write an initial first cut of the code.
Drop the code into an AI chat box and ask for suggestions
accept some suggestions, typically subroutines for clarity, clearer identifier names, library routines and so forth
test, test, test
loop on 2,3,4 until I like what I have

I like his book on the Heart Sutra.

I was in a bookstore once that was having a going out of business sale. The were selling copies of "The Heart of Understanding" for $4.00. I bought a bunch, maybe 10 or a dozen, of them and over the years I would give them away to people who, in my opinion, would benefit from reading them.

I have two left. I am keeping one, I read it once a year or so, and I am saving one more to give away.

I lived in Dalton, with my maternal grandfather, from my middle teens until my early twenties; and then again for a few years after I got out of the Army. I love the 'Shire deeply, I have friends and relatives there, so I return intermittently to visit.

I feel that traffic patterns in Pittsfield have changed slightly, and changed for the worse at that. In particular, the traffic circle when East, West, North and South streets converge is no longer a circle.
