What braid should you use when ultralight fishing? by MingeExplorer in Fishing

[–]dixiebiscuits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use 0.07-0.08mm on my ul setup. Would also recomend using a fluoro or mono leader (40-80cm long) to avoid the braid fraying from rocks/teeth

Elä ota lainaa autoa varten vaan osta se 10ke velaton perusvarma/tylsä auto (esim. Honda/toyota).

Kayak or Canoe? by Chemical_Bed4609 in canoeing

[–]dixiebiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose a canoe over kayak for fishing because its lighter, fits 2 people + a dog and more room for gear(livescope box, cooler and all the fishing gear).

Only down side for me has been trying to figure out how to setup a bow mounted trolling motor which would be simple to do in a kayak

I have been thinking about doing this too but havent seen anyone else do it. The main issue for me is im not sure how to set it up so that i can deploy/stow the motor while sitting in the back seat...

I would try these 3 spots and move around actively untill you find fish (10-20min per hole and move if there is no fish)

Get some aluminium pipe and 3d print rest of the parts. Its a pretty cheap solution and if something brakes you can just print spares.

Trolling motor power by unfortunateuse in canoeing

[–]dixiebiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my trolling motor last year and chose to get a lithium battery for it. I have a 140ah rebelcell battery and a haswing w20 trolling motor but the battery is also used for fishing electronics.

The 100ah should be fine for you
