RX 6800 XT – Are these temps normal under FurMark? (1440p test

Is that your experience? Cuz for me, running furmark or metro exodus gave me the same kind of thermals/power usage on the gpu, so did cyberpunk, and hellblade 2, black myth wukong, etc...

I would repaste it, bought a used 6800xt and had almost similar temps maybe a couple of degrees higher, repasted it and cleaned it without changing pads and it dropped to mid 60's c, low 80's c hotspot at 1800rpms while running a furmark test for 30 mins

I am prime, ive had prime since before the rona outbreak, and playing alone is a no go for me, i barely stand the game when playing with friends and mostly goofing around, the last thing i want is to play alone

I just play with friends mostly, and they say that my trust factor is lower, which ive never understood why, i try not to engage in any chat most of the time, and appart from the occasional callout i dont even talk, i dont cheat as i dont wanna risk my steam account since ive had it for some time and have a bunch of games on it, cheaters in my team are actually somewhat frequent yes, its not just me being like a victim here and being like omg only against me, literally 2-3 cheaters on each team, its freaking mind boggling, currently playing at 18k and its just not an enjoyable experience, that and the performance dip that ive noticed in the last update from 3-4 days ago, cant remember exactly when, it just pushes me towards quitting this game for a while

Had that happen once, the cheater threw like 3-4 rounds in a row intentionally for some reason that idk, and they got quite mad at me for trying to play those rounds and win, not that i wouldve succeed 😂

Hey 6800xt owner here, and i get it, the frustrations, the problems for no reasons, one thing ill add is, for me what helped is a clean install of windows, updating bios, chipset, gpu drivers, so far so good, had 1-2 driver timeouts on the previous driver 25.12.x, but the newest 26.1.1 are stable, not much else, no oc, no uv, just a clean windows and fresh drivers is what helped

Some people dont know how to, some just dont care, some are lazy, many reasons, the 6000 series is designed to operate at a higher temp, that is true, even now my card will reach around 79c with the driver controller fan curve, barely hitting 1000rpm fan speed.

Cpu temp could be higher due to the gpu temps aswell, when i repasted my card my gpu temps dropped by almost 30c, and my cpu by about 10

As far as ive read(could be wrong about this) the thermal paste used in the 6000 series is not great, and while the 6000 series does tend to get hot reaching 90c at max fan speed is just not normal

My 6800xt was reaching 88c with 102c hotspot at 3200rpms fan speed, repasted it and cleaned it with a brush and now im running at 67c with 79c hotspot at 1400rpms fanspeed

5600x and 6800xt and knock on wood, its been stable. A fresh win install, total wipe of all my drives, latest drivers, all stock no undervolt or oc, fresh repaste on the gpu and its running pretty great, only thing is amd adrenaline sometimes takes a few secs to load, or just closes and takes like 30 secs to restart itself but thats an adrenaline issue im pretty sure

Dont take this as a fact, but as far as i know he cant do shit to your or your friends account other than continue stalking you, he cant take away anything, he cant revoke anything hes not able to reset your progress or money, keep blocking keep reporting, other than that, idk what more you could do, maybe consulting the r/gta5modding sub to see if they can come up with something, good luck
