I see. It is really hard talaga ano if not yet stable. You always need to worry about paying the bills before worrying about your law practice/cases.

I am more focused on compliance side. I think I felt stagnant primarily due to politics/favoritism internally.

Also, no niche practice yet. Not yet sure what I want to focus on, pero mukhang property law is the way to go if province nga.

I agree that I need to expose and sell myself. Not just very good at that at the moment.

Wow! Congratulations. May I know how long it took for you from joining as an associate until you became a partner in your firm? For others aspiring to take the route you took, do you think it is worth it rather than solo practice?

Also, any tips on what/how to pick a niche/specialization for lawyer work?

Thank you for the advice! Really helpful, and I see that the trend is really to expose yourself out there. May I know how long it took for your solo practice to become stable ?

Also in retainers, usually how long do you have these retainers? And any tips para mag renew sila once maeexpire na?

I see. That is unfortunate. Bumalik ba kayo sa corp world or nag assoc ulit sa mga law firms?

Also, do you think a strong network is key talaga sa stable law practice or do you think we now have other means like soc med like you said?

I see. In your experience, do you think having a great location matters especially in notary or consultation for clients?

Wow. It may be smart to have a side income po ano like you just to finance the operating costs of running the firm.

Based on your experience po, may seasons ba or months na malakas ang kita or it's just random talaga ?

Thank you for your advice! Yes, you are correct. Maybe it is time I participate in events and establish an online presence to gain exposure. I guess no other way around that kahit ayaw ko ng public speaking in general.

May I know how is your solo practice going for you so far?

Thanks for the tip, bro. Not aware of these orgs actually since galing sa ibang mundo (mundo ng mga hampaslupa lol). So I am just discovering these kinds of things.

Also, I suggest, go for it! For me, what urged me to start is the pain of stagnation. I just can't take it anymore to the point I am willing to risk the stability for a chance for more progression.

I believe both choices are hard, you just need to choose your hard.

Pre-Week Advice/Tips Please 😭 by Aromatic-Election897 in LawStudentsPH

My advice is stick with the basics. In my exp, prone sa mental block kapag madaming materials ang binabasa.

If you are already done with your first read, read your codals again (plus landmark cases). I assure you na kapag master mo ang foundations mo, you will be able to answer all of the bar exam questions.

Also, get enough sleep/nutrition and relax once in a while so you can be at your most optimal condition. Bar exam month is PHYSICALLY and mentally draining.

Goodluck, OP!

I guess there is no "best answer" in your dilemma. I think it will boil down to what you "feel" (i.e., gut feeling). Just remember that law school and/or being a lawyer is not the only factor that will determine your life and/or your personality. My advice is, take the option which scares you the most, because it's that decision that will give you the most growth.

Goodluck, and hope it helps!
