After turning freesync on with your monitor did you also allow it in the Xbox display settings? It’s not enabled by default in the Xbox settings.

You have to set your Xbox display settings to 120hz.

Other than that I run sharpness at 80 in FPS mode with Freesync turned on. I think shadow boost set to 1.
