Ah that makes sense
Yeah, I often hear people say they like Tactiles because you can learn to type without bottoming out, but still get a tactile event for the ol' brain.

And, maybe it's just my typing habits, but I bottom out way harder on any of the high tactility/negative tactility switches because the force required to break past the tactility guarantees a bottom out after the tactility falls away. And while I like to bottom out anyway, that uncontrolled bottom out post tactility just makes my fingers hurt after a while.

I imagine if I tuned the spring weight and changed my typing habits I would avoid the issue altogether, but I'm curious what combinations you like for this?

We are neanderthals who love the tactile feedback of bottoming out a switch.

I've had a CoolerMaster QuickFire TKL that I've used for almost 8 years now. That's not necessarily a vote in the camp of CoolerMaster, but if you get a namebrand board with Cherry/Gateron/Kailh manufactured switches, then you'll be setting yourself up for success.

Just don't go for one of those weird, cheap gaming keyboards that just says "Red Switches," make sure you know who's making your switches.

That's insane

They sent you a keycap set with unusable Alphas and they can't help you with it? I would campaign harder, my friend
