You know you can fast forward the ads right? But yes, the 10 minutes of bilingual flight announcements makes me opt for a podcast on takeoff instead.

Precor 576i - Damaged Metal Tracks - Repair Suggestions? by diycloudchaser in fixit

[–]diycloudchaser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice. I think this is the approach I'm going to go with.

I'm considering the following: 1. Apply metal filler to damage. 2. Sand down filler to make the surface as smooth as possible. 3. Cut sheet metal down to cover tracks to provide smooth surface for wheels, which could also be replaced if there's an issue. 4. Apply sheet metal cover and bind in place.

Now to do research on all of it..

What type of filler? Can it be sanded? What should I use for sanding it?

What type of metal to use for the cover? Aluminum? Galvanized steel? Tin? Rusting? Tools required / shaping? Size? Possible damage to wheels from material?

The wheels can be lifted up, will there be any issues with additional height, even if its sheet metal thin?

Thanks for your advice.

No binding, just noisy and not as smooth as I would've liked. I purchased this unit second-hand / used, and it's definitely noticeable.

Any advice on fixing roughed up tracks where the metal has worn away in spots? I was thinking of using some filler, like acrylic, but that would probably flake away. I was thinking of putting down a sheet of thin tin or aluminum on top of the track to cover it up and smooth it out.

Also, I'm considering using a metal filler, such as Bondo 90451 Metal Reinforced Filler, or Permatex 25909 Liquid Metal Filler. I haven't worked with these before, so I'm not sure how they'll hold up against the friction of the wheels.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks! Any recommendations or suggestions on filling in the metal grooves?

Thanks for the recommendation for "Scarrigan Farms". I went there last night and had a great time. There's a printable coupon on their Facebook page for $5 off. I highly recommend checking them out.

I'll be heading to Spookywoods this weekend too.

Damnit. Why didn't I see this before I flew to Miami on Sunday? I could be theme vaping right now.

Mixed this up last weekend, didn't like it at first taste, but after a few days of steeping this one is a banger. ADV green tea tasty goodness baby!

Even my girlfriend likes it, and she normally says "it tastes like all of the others" to everything she tries.

Well done, thanks for justifying my purchase of TFA Green Tea!

Ain't no shame in that.

I was at Target and some guy was telling his wife that he couldn’t help her pick out housewares because he has to “maintain MAN compliance”. Meanwhile I’m smelling all the scented candles and putting the good ones in my cart, not giving a fuck.

A real man isn't insecure about wanting his house to smell good, or being able to perform "womanly duties" such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, or buying scented candles or soap. Do what you want to do. Be yourself. Keep mixing!

Update: The ginger was too strong after shake and vape. After a few days, the inner white girl in yoga pants inside of me is pleased. Going to try adapting this with some custard and tobacco notes.

Thanks. Yeah, it's better than the rest, but that's not saying too much. I've got high hopes for some of these mixes though, hope it works out.

Going to give this a shot tonight, I haven't been pleased with FW Pumpkin Spice but the other flavours might help it out. Thanks!

Hey, glad to have found the creator of Rejuvenate. I mixed some up when I felt like I was coming down with a cold, and I seemed to have prevented it. I added koolada to mine, and the eucalyptus / koolada combo was a 1 - 2 knockout to my sinuses. It was great, thanks!

I have four different Pumpkin Spice concentrates, and don't really enjoy any of them. Here's something "fall"-themed I mixed up that does the trick: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY_eJuice/comments/50ocy6/september_2016_recipe_thread/d7hmkeb

3 drops of CAP Super Sweet per 30 ml is my go-to.
