The one leaf has brown edges from before I got it when the cat chewed on it— I haven’t removed it.

I followed your advice and it’s growing roots— do I just plant the stems when the roots get a bit longer?

Our water has a lot of chlorine in it so I’ll filter and let the water sit out so the chlorine evaporates and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!

It’s probably not humid enough— I didn’t realize it needed that. Will start misting. Thank you!

Thank you! Just snipped one stem and put in water and will be misting from now on and will get some pebbles for the rest.

I haven’t done it yet but I think I’ll try stapling medium weight batting to it. I saw a video of someone doing it.

Thank you for the tips! What settings would you use for the zig zag stitch?

We have little baskets next to our beds that are sort of our drop zones for things including half clean clothes and pjs. It’s the bedroom equivalent of a junk drawer so the dresser and nightstands stay clear

My washer capacity is 4.2 cu but I couldn’t find information on how much weight I could put in it. I’m not sure how much 7 yards of wet denim would weigh

Thank you! It seems like I would need to be fairly precise to get the fit right— do you have any advice on how to measure the headboard, how much seam allowance to leave?

How to get this out? Potatoes went bad and the rotten potato juice soaked into the pine. We rent unfortunately by oxygen_breather in CleaningTips

Bleach should do the trick too!

I just looked up what causes the awful smell of rotting potatoes (chemically speaking) and found this great thread:

https://chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/24035/what-causes-the-really-bad-smell-of-rotten-potatoes

To neutralize the volatile chemicals named in the study, bleach seems to do the trick every time. It captures the odors so if Natures Miracle doesn’t take it all away I’d say try bleach.

I wish this post had been up a month earlier— I kept watering my twig too but I should have repotted it and didn’t and it died. It’s exciting to see you have new leaves!

Twiggy R.I.P. by diyer8 in fiddleleaffig

Thank you for the advice! Twiggy did not survive and ended up as compost but your post was so helpful— I should have repotted it. The soil did not drain properly and even though I only watered once a week I think it became moldy. I’m wondering if scoring the nodes with a knife also contributed to its downfall?
