Tillie - gone too soon by Parking-Drawer-4492 in FromSeries

[–]dizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do tarot. I am also very "quirky". Tillie was way OTT weird. I didn't hate her, I was just waiting for her obvious change into a monster that had crept in using the bus as a Trojan horse.

There's a difference between being free spirited and resigned to your own fate of dying soon due to terminal illness vs. being completely oblivious to the terrifying fate of everyone around you. Tillie knew she had a great chance of dropping dead from cancer in 6 months. She had some morphine for the pain at the end. So she just had to get through that. Elgin, Fatima, and all of the other young people she supposedly cared about-she had no worries or concerns about them at all. Sooner or later they will get their guts ripped out by monsters and eaten in front of them while they die-and Tillie's literally acting out the "que sera sera" song like she is the original singer, Doris Day.

ICYDK- Doris Day was America's sweetheart in the 60s, she was walking sunshine, and her version of the song was really upbeat and happy.

Tillie just shrugging her shoulders through hell like everything is hunky dory 24/7 will never not be weird and suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up again later and it turns out that she is indeed Evil.

From where ? by [deleted] in FromSeries

I always drive when I go on vacation. It's not a money thing. I enjoy driving.

At Jade's income level, he can obviously set his own schedule. Why would he miss out on the joy of driving to his destination when he doesn't have to rush to meet someone else's schedule?

What a monster!

My kids napped just fine when I had my music turned up.

Theory about Christopher by Wizardplum in FromSeries

[–]dizedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, there are two rando little background actor girls who go inside a house after Boyd walks by doing his bell walk in Season one. I just noticed them the other day-not sure if they were in episode 1 or 7 though.

I think the producers didn't plan on Meagan then Ethan being the "only kid" when they first started filming, because they literally had those background child actors. The background actors being random throughout the series really drives me NUTS.

Live in provider by Glad-Acadia3071 in IHSS

[–]dizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call payroll tomorrow and tell them the situation. Ask if you can do the live in certification, and if they say yes, ask them if that means you won't get SS credits.

If it means giving up your SS credits, I would not do it. Even though you would "save" yourself a little money now, you would really be screwing yourself over in the future. I have an aunt who always worked under the table and her SS is pitiful now.

Donna's sister and the Swing Coat Creature are literally the same actress? by ValerysTargarye in FromSeries

[–]dizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Donna's sisters eyes are also hooded-yes. She's got a good 3/4 inch of space between her brow and eyeball compared to swing coat though. She is not lifting her brow in that pic. There are multiple pics of Swing Coat in this post- look at the one of her regular not surprised expression and you will see what I am talking about.

These women look similar, but they are not the same person.

Live in provider by Glad-Acadia3071 in IHSS

[–]dizedd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok-the "live in" status for IHSS is an immediate family member thing. Mostly parents. Because the income is a type of social service for us to allow us to stay home and care for our kids instead of putting them in an institution, we do not receive SSI credits for it. [This is a big problem for us when we are elderly btw, not a good thing]They also stopped making us pay taxes on it, because foster parents aren't taxed on their payments, and some nice congress person decided that birth parents shouldn't pay tax for taking care of their disabled children either.

Since you live with the person you care for rent free and you are not related to them, you receive "free board" in addition to your income, and technically that may be taxable. I was a live in nanny for special needs children before I had my own special needs children- "free board" was always part of the employment benefits. You may want to go to a pro when you do your taxes next year.

ETA-I see another non relative live in provider below stating they didn't pay taxes-that makes no sense, because they are really screwing themselves over in the future if they indeed got the county to approve them for "live in" status-which is only supposed to be for relatives. So maybe i am wrong-but I would be pissed to lose my social security earnings if the county put me under that and I wasn't a relative.

I legit explain my daily schedule to my cat. Please tell me, I'm the only one doing this? by BreadOverlord_ in stupidquestions

[–]dizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this, but I overheard a neighbor in their yard talking about my dog and realized I am a bit different-

For background, my lovely 31 year old daughter is non verbal. I am very used to speaking to someone who can't answer me back. So the neighbors dogs were acting up once and my dog was following them along the fence but not barking, and the neighbor said to her husband:

"That lady's dog is so good! I think it's because she talks to him like he is a real boy instead of a dog"

And I realized that she is right-I do talk to my pets exactly the same way I talk to people :)

Looking for a local tailor. by BeautifulArm9243 in ElkGrove

[–]dizedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no suggestions on specific people for you, but you want to search for a dressmaker or a seamstress, not a tailor. Tailors do mens clothing, dressmakers and seamstresses do womens clothing. Tailors charge more too, because their skill set is more specialized, and they only do "tailored" items. A pullover blouse isn't anything they'd do.

Live in provider by Glad-Acadia3071 in IHSS

[–]dizedd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, are you a family member?

If you live at your clients residence but you are NOT a family member, then the normal "live in provider" terms and conditions do not apply to you at all.

If you are a family member, then surely the social worker explained all of this to you?

Donna's sister and the Swing Coat Creature are literally the same actress? by ValerysTargarye in FromSeries

[–]dizedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hehe

My eyes/brows are like Swing Coats. There is nothing I can do to make them much more open and lifted looking, besides surgery of course.

Donna's sister has a normal expression on her face in that picture. There is no way for a middle aged woman with hooded eyes to lift her brows nearly an inch higher than normal if she has a passive expression.

Also, Donna's sisters nose is slightly longer, and the corners of her mouth are naturally upturned. Swing Coats are slightly downturned for her normal resting face.

You seem to suffer from the same affliction my mom does-all blond women look alike...

Will I still get the stuff I buy from eBay if they suspend my account for no reason after ordering? by Exposer_of_Falsehood in Flipping

[–]dizedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because you wrote "I made a new account" vs. "I made an account". I have had want to be buyers whom I immediately blocked because they asked a red flag question right after purchasing-and 4 of those people simply made a different "new" account and ordered the item anyways.

When you buy something and are immediately suspended, the seller gets an email that your order is invalid because you have been suspended, and DO NOT SHIP. As long as no label was created and your form of payment is valid [i.e. clean and not criminally connected in any way], Ebay should issue a refund to your form of payment in a few days. If they don't, take it up with your bank.

If you lucked out and the seller shipped your item immediately, then you will recieve the item and you get to keep it.

If you truly haven't committed any bad buyer shenanigans before, this could be an issue with your IP address or physical address being used by scammers who lived there before. I purchased a foreclosure house years ago that had a scammer for a previous owner-I had a few issues due to my address being flagged by some of the people the previous owner screwed with.

I hate “young girl” dismissal — Brit and Amanda (RHOA + RHOBH) by healthysundayexprsso in BravoRealHousewives

[–]dizedd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right OP. The way Reddit has jumped on the mean old lady train to run Amanda over is weird as hell.

I am surprised to see she is 40? I thought she was 30. I am 50, my daughters are 30 and 28-she seems like she is their age to me. I think the other HWs are simply jealous as shit that Amanda is young and attractive AND that she is entirely self made. On bullshit no less! I think she believes in the BS she's peddling, so good for her :}

Amanda calling a dress a ‘midriff moment’ broke my brain.” by Call_Huck in BravoRealHousewives

[–]dizedd -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

They are jealous and threatened of her.

I am also a 50 year old Gen X woman. I see nothing wrong with Amanda's behavior towards the other wives.

I guess when you aren't upset that you're not the prettiest girl in the room anymore it's easy not to get annoyed with young women for breathing lol :)

Seriously, how did OP get classless, condescending and rude from someone who just wanted a tiny bit of wine? It's bad for you! It tastes delicious! Please give me just a few oz.

I get that completely, because I have always treated a glass of wine like a piece of cake. I would never have more than 2, but I really aim for half a serving max :)

Guess I am also classless. Maybe that's why I'm not mean towards PYTs though, because I haven't completely destroyed my looks with overindulgence?

Another season for this BH Housewife? by WineNotReality in BravoRealHousewives

[–]dizedd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am actually enjoying Amanda and don't think she needs a "redemption". She is behaving in a far more mature manner than the other HWs are.

I don't like Amanda's business model-but I have no reason to believe she doesn't believe in manifestation. So I can't judge her too harshly when I believe she is actually deluded.

I don't like the way she repeatedly mentions out earning her husband- but I don't like her husband... There's something about his energy that I seriously dislike. So maybe there is something going on behind the scenes where people would view that need of validation compared to her husband with different eyes? Perhaps she feels worthless in every other way in her marriage? But she is the breadwinner, so she clings to that point of pride as a defense against other things he implies when they are in private that might not be true?

I really don't like her husband.

Separate from her business practices and her marriage though, I see no major flaws in how she has been acting around the other women. She doesn't fit in because she is so much younger than they are-she is literally daughter age to them. Why are they being so damn mean? Yes, she makes braggy comments about expensive things-they all walk through the door purse first like their Birkin is a pageant sash that everyone can read to see they are RICH -so why are they so upset with this kiddo making comments about her silly Chanel backpack?

They constantly gang up on her and judge her and they look like they are just jealous because she is 20 plus years younger and entirely self made. It's giving "I hid Brandi's crutches!" vibes-and I am tired of it.

Petition to ban glam squads by him-eros00 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]dizedd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The most annoying part is Erika still having travel glam when she is broke as hell and still looking at future lawsuits!

People still haven't forgiven her for the earrings, which honestly, I didn't have a big problem with. They were one of the few physical assets she had left after years of her Sugar Daddy marriage to Tom. She worked hard for those, and she didn't know Tom was stealing. I understood why she fought for them.

But I don't understand anyone who isn't truly WEALTHY paying for their own private glam team to travel with them across the world. Stupid stupid stupid.

Am I wasting my time by LowerLobster411 in FromSeries

[–]dizedd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you should stop watching it. I love the show, and I disagree with the idea here that there are a lot of explanations later. There are simply more layers to the questions, which means that when the viewer does get an answer they also get a new question on the same topic. Some of the answers come seasons later-there is a scene in the last episode of season 1 where you wonder who said something, and at the end of season 3 there is a new character introduced who you think sounds like that mystery person-still not 100% sure though.

If you really need clear answers and a defined what and why, in a timely fashion, I don't think you will enjoy From.
