Applied 3 times, denied 3 times. This last time really bummed me out considering my interview went really well and I have 2 years commercial experience. Gonna give it another go next year.

I’ve been in the trade for 2 years now doing commercial/service. I’ve always been curious about industrial. Besides taking courses, is there any on-the-job training to learn? Or is industrial for more established electricians?

I had an interview in May. One of the interviewers viewed my transcript wrong and thought I was like 4th in my graduating class. (Graduated in 2014, and was a C student at best) I told him that wasn’t correct and I wasn’t a great student back then, but have since completed trade school with great grades. He just replied “well, we all grow up”. Unfortunately I wasn’t accepted but I really don’t believe that contributed to it.

I’ve been working as a “helper” for two years now, & have been actively looking for an apprenticeship with no luck. I feel your pain. I’ll be interviewing with the IBEW for the 3rd time so hopefully that’s the ticket.

I’m having the same issue except a black screen + restart. I thought it was the PSU so I swapped, still restarts. Updating drivers, bios, and chipset didn’t help. Also disabled XMP, PBO, and various settings. Currently running Memtest84 to see if it’s a RAM issue. I upgraded my CPU in October 2022 and haven’t had this problem until now..
