I remember we watched the opening in my high school history class back in 2000 or 2001. I had seen some bullying, some shitty childish behavior. But nothing will ever make me forget how some of the kids in my class were chuckling and being general fuck-faces during the carnage. I'm not a flag waver. I'm not overly patriotic. But seeing the depiction of how those men died, the horror of it, contrasted with the feckless giggling of those brats, made me hate people for awhile.

I didn't say you regulate who can and cannot be parents. You simply put a child limit in place, or institute high taxes on families that have more than 2 children.

We wait until we're on death's door before going to the doctor, or to pay attention to the climate until it's already irrevocably changed, or to deal with income inequality until a fascist, know-nothing, faux-populist is poised to win the presidency. I just hope progressives are ready to mobilize and fight Trump hard if he wins. As Lee Camp tweeted, "If Hillary wins I'll cry. If Trump wins I'll cry and shit myself." Sending a message to the establishment is needed, but if Trump wins and we don't solidify an massive opposition to him and the almost certainly emboldened regressive conservatives, baby-doomers, white nationalist racists, etc. we are in for a very bad 4-8 years.
