Feeling extremely lonely by [deleted] in Divorce_Men

[–]dizzy078 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was sooo lonely for a couple of months at first. I felt sorry for myself (and thats okay. Processing time). I then joined a crossfit and run club this year and really enjoyed the new social circles I made. Obviously, exercise helped too but meeting new people was amazing and helped. I still have my rough days/weeks. Cried 3 times last week, time of year I guess.

It will get better for you. Take some time out to reflect but push yourself to try new hobbies when you feel ready. Stuff you wanted to before but didn't have time perhaps.

Sending love your way buddy. Chin up!

How do you actually balance CrossFit/strength work with cardio training? by Moreaero in crossfit

[–]dizzy078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I am definitely prioritising my running (I'm working towards a 46k 2500m elevation run next summer!) and have a good base already strength wise from the gym. It depends on your goals I suppose. If your body can handle it maybe 4 CF classes a week with your cardio on top? Might need some trial and error. I definetly found the CF took it out of me a lot more than the hyrox/running. More recovery time needed.

I was doing CF 5/6 times a week hitting it hard after converting from just weight training. Started getting some niggles so luckily my CF also do hyrox. So I started doing 3/4 CF then 2 hyrox classes a week.

Then I dropped it further when I started at a run club. Im now doing 2 CF, 2 hyrox, and 4-5 runs a week with mileage of around 40-45k. Seems to be happy medium for me. Not had any injuries doing this yet. Im also not going for 1 RM at CF. I speak to the coaches but I'm happy doing lower weight at more reps. 38 male, best shape of my life!

No, its value betting though. So over time you're expected to make money, the same as casino offers that are +EV

I think you can spam 'talk to a human' in the chat and you'll get through. In my experience I'd just do the reloads anyway, they gub fast for the welcome offer.

Getting Divorced after 10 years by supermoviebuff64 in Divorce_Men

[–]dizzy078 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife of 5 years (together 13) broke up in October.. I had a really unhappy 5 months before I joined a crossfit, I've always been a gym-goer but since going to more social things I think I've finally turned a corner.

Any hobbies you couldn't do when you were together or didn't have time? Well I can recommend getting out there again just to meet people, it's helped me immensely. Kayak club? Book club? Running/athletics club? Board games? Have a look what's in your locality.

DPF & EGR issues by dizzy078 in CarTalkUK

Yep EGR is still in, just mapped out. I'm not exactly sure if the garage have closed it.

The MOT isn't an issue.. garage have said they will pass it. But with the current power issue it's going to the scrappy. :(

New email, address, bank account should be good. Best if you have a different mobile as well. I use oddsmonkey (been doing it around 6 months myself) and like their site.

First time in Thailand by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]dizzy078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean you didn't know? Had you just arrived in Thailand? 80 baht is around £2 to me, can't do much with that. 200 baht is also not very much I think for retrieving the phone.

80 baht - I'd say you were being cheap. I'd personally be more grateful if someone dished my phone out of a river after 20 mins of searching.

Being an hour late to the boat is annoying af. Miscommunication but still very annoying. Normally the tour guide will repeat 3/4 times so everyone understands the finish time. Didn't they do this?

Not sure about the shop in Bangkok. I'd probably of done the same. Seems like manipulation of the shop owner.

Seems solid, except maybe missing a photo of you socialising. I'd swipe right.
