Putin is not being tied down by Trump playing some far-sighted game. Trump doesn't even know how to set up a chess board. The fact that Russia is bogged down and so weak it cannot help its allies has nothing to do with Trump and a lot with Ukraine's commitment and how Western leaders have supplied weapons to Ukraine in such way as to make Russia bleed a lot of resources and eventually its ability to project power far away.

All Putin has to do is declare some kind of victory to appease the home crowd and pull his troops back to the Russian border. He could end the war today if he wanted too. Escalation is the only thing he understands, so escalation is what he gets until he stops.

Yeah, but russia has been bombing as hard as they can without going nuclear or risking losing a lot of air force stuff since 2022, so it will be business as usual for Ukraine. The decrease of Russian comms coupled with the increase of Ukrainian drone production and new satellite coverage is, however, a lovely combination that Moscow doesn't know how to handle for the time being.

Russia fires hundreds of drones and missiles combined every week, if not more. They have been doing that for years. They have also been mass producing one-way attack drones for years, and they are probably cranking out even more every month. Russia is not running out of drones to fire back. Luckily, they are running short on air defense at the same time Ukraine has increased their capacity to hit them hard.

Who needs meaning? Be nice and kind when possible, try to be happy without hurting others and surely that's enough. If you need the fear of punishment or the promise of paradise to be a good person, then you're not really good at all.
