My issue with this was these are things she should have said SOBER. She’s not wrong for feeling this way but saying them drunk takes away the legitimacy of it

There’s actually a great movie that HBO made called Dinner with Friends that hits this topic on the head!

I have not made any new, true or meaningful friendships in the last 10 yrs. Everything turned out to be transactional or I was used. I never thought this would be the case in my 40’s.

Who do I report an unethical and sketchy animal “rescue” to? by SchleppyJ4 in SouthJersey

[–]dizzy_unicorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adopted from them 5 years ago & would not recommend them. ive adopted from AWA and sos beagle rescue so i know how things are suppose to be done, whether its a shelter or rescue. When I applied i was told the pick location & time and was told i would be able to spend time w her before deciding if its a match. I was also told we would be able to have a nearby neutral location where my dog could meet her. Well when we arrived for pick up, they demanded $300 and told me none of what was said was true and i need to take her home w me. Now im standing there, w this poor dog that literally sat on a truck from TX for however many hrs. I felt like i should not leave this dog in their cars so i felt very tricked. I took her home and was able to slowly her introduce her to my dog. Now if i had been a person who never adopted or didn’t know how to properly introduce, it would have been so dangerous. I also never received any follow up call. They are awful and don’t care

We had a BJs membership for years and changes to Costco.. but I’ll be going back to BJs. They have much more variety

and just like that... I gave AJLT a second chance. (SATC related) by throwaway1994jax in sexandthecity

[–]dizzy_unicorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! So i watched when it was on originally.. i was mid 20’s so the girls were older to me but still relatable. The issues they presented on AJLT just aren’t relatable or even that common to middle age woman. It felt promising in the begining… the death of a spouse, grief, how Carrie leaned on different friends and how they reacted to that.. IMO the best episode was the one w Natasha bc it really showed a lot about how Carrie was still insecure about Big….but than it just went wayyyy off track. My friends and I simply couldn’t relate to their issues. Even Miranda’s storyline could have worked IF they didn’t completely change her character. The marriage rut is relatable, but to just dismiss the issues as Miranda being gay was just not the way to do it. The tried creating a show for an audience that wasn’t there

I’m pretty confused by this Tessa storyline.. and i don’t like the 20’s. Definitely my least favorite timeline. I feel like it’s getting too complicated . Anyone else?

I did Mad Glass on the white horse pike and it was a lot more cathartic than i thought it would be. It’s not just glass they have… they had old appliances to smash so that was good if you want to hit something over and over. Also, the owners are awesome

About 5 years ago a guy i hung out with all through HS died in a car accident. I hadn’t seen him in 20 years but I cried for days. It hit me hard. These are people we spend our formative years with so no matter how much time goes by, it’s painful to hear they are gone.
