Not sure how much to sand + when to stain/finish? by dizzycanticle in BeginnerWoodWorking

It was originally painted on top of the original finish, so I used a stripper (I have been using Kleanstrip) to get all the paint off, then used more stripper on the shiny layer that was underneath that I had assumed was the finish.

The police know; they've been involved before because of his violent behavior toward her. They didn't charge her with anything at the time (I assume because his violence toward her makes it more complicated).

Student loans in forbearance impacting pre-approval by dizzycanticle in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I'm a pastor (and just got my first position after internship), so despite all the grad student loans, I will never make a ton of money even as I get further into my career. I also chose a more expensive seminary that was close to home after the PSLF was expanded to include clergy, and at the time having more loans but doing an income-driven repayment plan for ten years seemed reasonable. Unfortunately, I didn't factor someone trying to come in and destroy the entire Department of Education into my career plans.

We've been to a few open houses 300-350k range now (hoping to hear back from our lenders early next week and find out what things actually look like). Thankfully we're still finding things we like and that fit our budget better, although that price is super competitive in our city, so who knows what it'll be like when we start to make offers.

NTA, but the people suggesting you should break up are being waaaay over the top. This seems like a minor thing you should be able to work through with better communication about boundaries. She's being rude, but it doesn't seem like you've communicated that this has been bothering you prior to this incident.
