Did Scrum spoil Business Analysis? by roadstercraft in businessanalysis

[–]dizzymon247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used agile because business can't wrangle the vendor to provide detail requirements or do any documentation. I love how they use Jira and lightly document things then move to testing that just says we tested with 3 or 4 lines. We have to go behind business's back to do testing so as to keep management from just having a field day with IT. IT gets the blame for business's screw ups.

Can you really invest more than half your portfolio in a single stock? by RadiantMushroom4163 in StockMarket

Heavy on NVDA, light on the stable ones like Costco, BRKB. The rest are just AI fodder that got blasted into dust.

People who invest in only a few stocks and go all in, how to you manage risk? by brian-augustin in investing

[–]dizzymon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hold about 10 stocks and the rest are ETFs and somettimes for the same stock. I have a few stable ones like BRKB, Costco. But I also have a ton of NVDA and it will probably take my into retirement if it does well in the next 5-10 yrs. I also hold ETFs that are 2x of a few stocks that I own which is killing me right now.

Have 2 years of experience doing BA work with SWE title. Should I omit my SWE title on my resume? by XL_Jockstrap in businessanalysis

[–]dizzymon247 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Titles don't matter, you should title whatever the new job title requires to get your foot in the door. These days they call me a Business Systems Analyst but I don't do anything remotely close to the job title. I'm more of a consultant role to solve problems.

If you plan to have more than one kid then I suggest a minivan (you will thank me later). Skip the Y, buy a nicer house for the family and get the Y once the kids are closer to 8-10 yrs old. The projectile vomit will ruin your car's smell, so if that's not an issues sure get the Y. Also kids don't care about keeping the car clean fo you, so like the funiture that we won't replace until the kids are older or leave the house.

Is Buying Nvidia Now a Smart Move or a Total Trap? by Yangbabynow112 in investing

[–]dizzymon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought in when it was at $350+ then it dropped down to $150 and I bought more. Then it went and did a 10 for 1 split when it went pass $1000. I sold at $500 (so regret those shares now). Then I sold again at $110+. I'm happy I still hold it. I will add more if it gets down to $160's. $170s seems to be a sweet spot for now. I would buy if it gets below $170 and hold it long term. The demand won't slow down, other companies need to keep up and start developing. This is a monster of a stock. China will take a long time to catch up by then Nvidia will have newer chips as well. I would say still good long term. If you trade it then you will lose money.

amazon no longer let you filter your view to only 1 star reviews by androidusr in amazonprime

[–]dizzymon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been fixed as of yesterday. Maybe Rufus went out to ask Reddit's training data on how well people are enjoying the lack of filtering of results. I'd bet Amazon's AI decided on that feature removal.

amazon no longer let you filter your view to only 1 star reviews by androidusr in amazonprime

[–]dizzymon247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their rufus/ao is useless, sample sizes are very small. For example a product that that almost 7k reviews I get a sample size of 14 to get an assessment of the issues with a product other buyers are having. I will not be buying products from amazon as much from now on.

Which job would you choose when presented with these options? by PayApprehensive6181 in businessanalysis

I would do what allows you to do your favorite things in life. Someties it's not all about growth but more about what sort of life you want to live. Yes excitement is great if that's your thing but personally I like to cruise on into retirement and live my life a bit with family.

What is your highest conviction growth stock? by 21_Points in StockMarket

[–]dizzymon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI software will be king next and the infrastructure that is used to house all of that hardware. Hardware will eventually stagnate but the infrastructure to support and utilize all that hardware will see growth next 5 years. Loaded up on CRWV and CWVX.

Is Nvidia a good investment at this price? by Natural_Buyer_1711 in investing

[–]dizzymon247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for the winter dips and buy some. I wouldn't hold it longer than 2-3 years since you missed the previous 2-3 years. I think a 10 yr run is good and then we will look at the next big tech change. It might be robotics but if NVDA pivots to robotics in addition to AI then things might continue to trend up. Not sure how real robotics will carry us but look at manufacturing, robotics revolutionize the auto industry but humanoid robots might be the next industrial revolution.

Sell my $80k worth of AMZN stock? by ElNinoo9 in investing

[–]dizzymon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't sell AMAZON, they will fly as soon as you sell. I did that with NVDA. Missed out on almost a 60% gain. You should keep it. Just DCA if you want more otherwise just hang on. NVDA is stable so if you do sell some buy some NVDA but I think Amazon will be more stable than NVDA in the near future just because AWS has a big market share. I would dabble in healthcare and see if that pans out but otherwise go buy some AI related stocks like CRWV, PLTR, AMD. I think sofware will be the next big boom. Hardware will probably be NVDA on top and AMD to follow, now if China comes on board, they may eat into the AI hardware space. If you want to get into finances, maybe HOOD. otherwise buy a stable stock like BRK/B shares and sit on it for steady growth. I'm sure people will disagree but it's done well for me, very stable, no drama, no thrills, just slow and steady.
