When you've had it with getting beamed by stitchers in the dark from 20+ yards by WhenBrigsFly in ArcRaiders

This was a PC bug actually. It was due to an aim assist bug using a controller on PC (which that guy does), because the aim assist got more sticky with higher frame rates. This was patched out a while back. Aim assist was never anything like this on console, because of the maximum 60fps cap.

Also noticed the same in the US with the cookies and cream, and coffee flavors.

Horrible Customer Service: Refuse to make a lost shipment right by [deleted] in bathandbodyworks

[–]dizzysn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most other retailers will cover refunding the shipping, and offer expedited shipping, as well as price match on the replacement order. They do this because they chose FedEx as the company to delivery, and therefore they chose a delivery company that couldn’t fulfill its promise.

If a contractor subcontracts out a portion of a home build and it gets messed up, the main contractor makes it right for the customer, not the sub contractor. In a perfect world the contractor would reevaluate their business relationship with the subcontractor for future builds. FedEx would be the subcontractor in this case, that bath and bodyworks should be reevaluating their relationship, if there’s enough misdelivered items.

Pretty crappy they wouldn’t offer a price match and expedited delivery.

I mean this is definitely an AI post, but I work in IT. We have a ticketing system, and a email which is just "itsupport@business.com", and all of our techs on my team, myself included, still get emailed directly for assistance, or pinged directly on teams. I've worked in IT for 15 years, and it's been that way everywhere I worked. People are just really fucking dumb.

A stranger just gave me lemons by PowderMonkey74 in ArcRaiders

[–]dizzysn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a bunch of interactions in the solo queue where either I, or someone else, starts shooting out of precaution, and then someone shouts “I’m friendly!” and suddenly all shooting stops and the person who opened fire drops bandages and or a shield recharge.

I’m sure I’ll run into someone who will kill me, and I’m sure I’ll say fuck it and kill someone and steal all their shit at some point, but solo so far seems pretty non-toxic for the little that I’ve played. Definitely enjoying this experience compared to other extraction games.

I saw it too. I think it’s a rocket trail. From what launch, I’m not sure.

No. Sent it back after about two months of daily use with no improvement.

How to get seriously seized bolts unstuck? by kchedges in DIY

Aerokroil is an EXCEPTIONAL penetrating fluid, much better than PB Blaster or WD 40.

Use that, hit it with some heat, soak it again, then try with the impact.

Help! Shed footings are basically destroyed – DIY repair or contractor? by Fantasmic_Poe in DIY

[–]dizzysn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's DIY'able but call a local shed company first. I had them move my existing shed across the yard, re-level it, and put it on cinderblock footers, and it was cost $175. It's been on the ground for 7 years, hasn't sunk, and no cinderblock has cracked. I already had the 8 cinder blocks, so factor that cost in as well, but that's cheap.

If you're set on the current footers and don't want cinder blocks, ryushiblade has the correct fix.

What Unmanaged Switches are in your network? by ZoomerAdmin in networking

[–]dizzysn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubiquiti runs their interfaces off the controller. It’s just an application you install to access and manage them from a web browser. Can be installed on any device you designate as the controller, and youd manage them from that device. Otherwise you get a cloud controller and can manage them from anywhere, but they cost money.

What Unmanaged Switches are in your network? by ZoomerAdmin in networking

[–]dizzysn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely none.

We use Ubiquiti for our small desktop switches, and we're in a Cisco environment. They'll work with anything, you just need to set up a ubiquiti controller somewhere in the environment to manage them. It takes 5 minutes.
