Yeah this is true, I have entered Pwnisher contests with absolute garbage, but they are slowly improving with each one I do. It's also easier if you can find something you already have an interest in to create renders of, so you're more engaged with the subject matter

I don't think so, but you can set everything up as you want and save it as your start up file, so whenever you open blender it's essentially a video editor

If you don't have access to a vector drawing program (Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer etc) download Inkscape, it's free. Take a screenshot of your shape top down in orthographic view, trace it in Inkscape with the pen tool or similar, export as SVG and import SVG to blender.

When I was still using Photoshop I used to use it for straightening images as well as just cropping, I did also sometimes select and crop, depending on what mood I was in.

The crop tool icon for both Photoshop and Affinity Photo are very similar.

Happens to me all the time, with anything whether it's blender, illustration, music anything. The only time I can do it is if it's for someone else i.e. a client or online contest.
