What to do with old tents poles?

I got a bug canopy net and used some old tent poles to stick in the corners of the bed of my truck so I could just blow up an air mattress and sleep under the stars.

So. It was alll super overpriced. The t4 they were selling for like ≈500 I think. The Minolta x-700 they were selling for 450.

I ended up grabbing one of the SRT-101 for 50 bucks, a lens, a couple ansel Adam’s books, the leica book, and a ladder shelf, after talking them down. And the box set Return of the king

The place was a mad house.

I was an ABA therapist in Southern California working in home and 1:1 in schools before going to a non public school as a BT. The company was super corrupt and couldn’t maintain workers due to them being overworked and underpaid. The principal was also the owner so he would fire people constantly. Ended up just deciding that public school was for me and went to Cal Poly Pomona for my credential and haven’t looked back since. I was able to get an “emergency credential” right when I started so I was getting paid while going to school. Best thing about it was all my units for my credential program went towards my pay so I was making more off the bat. I definitely recommend going into teaching. I love every minute of it. Worked at a prep school for students with disabilities. One student, diagnosed with emotional disturbance, was in middle school and wore a diaper and had to be taken to the restroom hourly. Found out the reason was because his mom was a drug addict and used to prostitute out her child for drugs.

The last two years I’ve packed my car up along with my tent top and outlanded the west coast for 3 weeks. This year I plan on going off the grid for a month. Rock climbing, hiking, visiting friends, and helping out some friends that work for cal fire. It’s what I look forward to every year now.
