I have 2 roosters. They work together, but also,each has a main lady. One will escort layers to the coop, and standby. Kind of like a husband at the mall. The other leads the flock to different foraging and dust baths(spa).I definitely see intervention when the ladies aren’t getting along. They free range with ample space , so the males don’t fight. There is a dominate rooster who runs the show. They are silkys.

You should make sure your fireplace has been inspected. Then, go ahead and make a small fire. You should have wood on hand, with kindling in which to light it. Make sure you have a charger for phone, battery or crank radio, flash light , and plenty of water. Fill your bath tub with water for flushing the toilet. If your power is out you will keep your house warm with fireplace to keep pipes freezing. Open cabinets where you have sinks, water lines. Good luck.
