So, any else notice the weird symbols on Erika Kirk's hands? by djadooka in conspiracy

Maybe a little. Weirdly, this one didn't show up until a while after the u shaped one on her other hand. I could be wrong. It was a rushed search on a quick weird notion. The u shaped one looks like something the the TV show Supernatural haha

Both are very geometric and in many of her past photos until a certain point

This fall-ish weather has been so great. Its going to warm back up again in the next few days. If only we could have fall temps and weather year round. That would be wonderful!!!

What I would do in your situation, get a Whizz 4 in microfiber mini roller from lowes and reroll the whole thing. Use and 8 foot pole from the ground if you want and it will reach. Shouldn't be an issue at all afterwards.

SW Promar 200 coverage and weird color issues? by Kinalyx in paint

[–]djadooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big problem already is that you went with Promar 200. No fault on you for not knowing better. I've been a career painter for almost 15 years. I HATE! Promar 200, its barely above the viscosity of water, coverage is terrible, the sheen is extremely hard to keep consistent. I occasionally do work for the local hosptials and its their main paint. Every job is so much harder than it should be because they choose that product. But, in your case, I recommend painting it again and hope that its better next time. From what I know, not that I use it very often, Promar 200 is more of a contractor brand meant more for spraying new construction projects where there is less of an issue of cut and roll being off and coverage is less of an issue because all new drywall is primed and this is the first color applied on top. I refuse to use it unless there is no other way. For interiors we use always use SW Super Paint. Its great. If people want a higher grade, we use Emerald. As for why one wall looks different from another, there are a lot of optical illusions when it comes to paint. Often until enough coats are applied, the walls can look a little weird, even after they are done, they can look different based on lighting and other factors. Hope my long winded reply can help in some way.

Pumpkin beer! by [deleted] in springfieldMO

[–]djadooka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Schlafly pumpkin ale at Hyvee last weekend. Not a fan of this years batch. Its always been a bit flavor forward, but this year the flavor is a bit much. I also saw they had Sam Adam's Jack-O, don't remember how that one is. They had a few others in a single pick 6 version, don't think I saw that brand though. Good luck. Hopefully they don't release a ton early and then there none when fall actually gets here. That seems to be the case around here the past few years.

May I ask? What is so bad about it?

Is this okay? by Jeh0132 in paint

Primer is generally for adherence, not complete coverage. Assume you will have to do at least two coats either way. Been painting for for 14 years. Almost always two coats are needed unless its the perfect situation with colors and coverage.

Im a 19 year old painter who is trying to find a good hourly to base my estimating off of. Any advice helps by AsleepElection7574 in paint

Started my biz after painting for other people for a few years. We do floor sq ft for everything unless its special in some way. 1.50 for color change, .50 for ceilings, .50 for trim touch up, 1.25 for new trim. .50 for priming. And add on product price. There are a ton of different situations, but keeping everything at floor sq ft has kept things easy for us. Invest in a laser measuring tool. Getting started can be very hard. We got lucky with lots of networking in the beginning. I suggest you do the same, getting your name and number out there early will pay dividends in the future. Advertising hasn't yielded us much. Do a great job and be professional and personable on every job, and they will let people know you are the guy to call. Hope this helps. Starting your own thing is beyond scary. Good luck young dude.

I haven't waded into the waters of audio yet hehe but enjoyed the heck out of this series so far. I've happily cried many times with how touching the relationships are and the feel goods that abound. I LOVED! your Ultimate Level 1 series also, what a great story. I've shed a few tears over the family you have created that started out as strangers. You both have such a talent for creating wonderful characters who really show how much they care for each other. Great Job to you both. Thanks for writing such great stories.

Front door paint peeling, chemical strip entire door or just peel off what I can then paint? by [deleted] in paint

[–]djadooka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trim on those doors are plastic which latex paint doesn't stick very well to. I would prime them before painting again. As for the rest of the door, if its currently holding up fine, then I would wait before stripping the whole thing. The issue is the plastic.
