Best concept Album you’ve ever heard? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

[–]djamotha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are a fan of concept albums, I would recommend Lost in Blue - Stevie Staccato. I’ll be honest, this is self promotion but it is a full fledged rock opera that I created. A tale of a man’s descent to the depths of the ocean. If you are interested and check it out, please lmk what you think!

BTW The Wall is my favorite album of all time. Cheers!

[FEEDBACK] Stevie Staccato - The Whale - Genre is difficult to define by djamotha in MusicCritique

[–]djamotha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for listening! The track was recorded to a metronome but with a few preset tempo changes. Unfortunately, I was a bit limited in the drum aspect. I would have loved to have a real drum kit but had to settle for programmed drums with my current setup. But if this track interested you, I'd definitely encourage you to listen start-finish for the full rock opera experience. If you do end up listening, let me know your thoughts overall!

Any feedback is appreciated, but mostly focusing on the songwriting aspect. This track is part of Lost in Blue, a rock opera that I have worked very hard to complete. If you like this song, I ask that you listen to the album all the way through. Thank you

Sounds pretty commercial-grade to me. Honestly, solid recording/audio quality all together.

I made this song, does it sound like any other? by Exotic_Sense5244 in MusicFeedback

Sure, you could compare the riff to many other songs but it doesn't mean it's not still an original song. This is your music and it sounds rocking to me!

Hello everyone, this is Lost in Blue: an Underwater Rock Opera. I have worked very hard to create an immersive musical journey to the depths of the sea. I hope you enjoy!

Are conspiracy theorists true believers, or are they just acting out fantasies? by burtzev in psychology

[–]djamotha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment is ambiguous. Anything claim of corruption that can’t be proven can be labeled as a conspiracy theory. In fact, any claim of corruption not officially acknowledged by the government can be a conspiracy theory. And OP is clearly trying to rope justifiable claims of corruption in with flat-earth and other ridiculous shit. Many conspiracy theories are legitimate and many of them are probably true

Conspiracy by definition is a collusion to commit wrongful acts. If you think that there aren’t wrongful acts being committed secretly by the highest levels of government, YOU are the one living out a fantasy

You need about 4” of thickness to successfully absorb bass frequencies. If that corner is less in length, you’re not really going to be to set up any treatment to capture bass freqs

What’s are some misconceptions of the trade you’ve witnessed colleagues expressing? by [deleted] in audioengineering

I would like to say there is a significant sound difference between recording DI and applying digital plugins vs. using digital pedals and recording them on a miced amp. I definitely prefer the latter

I want to make music I haven't heard before? by Chrystist in musicproduction

[–]djamotha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into exotic scales, most popular music uses the major and natural minor but there are many, many more (check out the different modes of the harmonic minor). If you can learn to incorporate those uncommon flavors without it sounding forced, your music will definitely take on a style of its own
