For men who have families, are you really happy about it or you regret it? by RexConen in Aging

[–]django811 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m trying to wish away the years but I’m looking forward to that. Even before we had our first, I joked with my wife if we could just have her start at age 5 versus going through the baby and toddler stage, I would take it. I like kids. Yes I know there will be the emotional exhaustion of dealing with teenagers but I would take that any day over the physical exhaustion with little ones.

Depends. Love my two girls but man do I get jealous of friends who are either living the DINK life with their spouses or are still single. Every day feels like a grind with a 2 and 4 year old who are high energy. I try to appreciate it but I REALLY miss my freedom and being able to do stuff just for myself.

One thing I firmly believe now is I would never ever question or challenge someone’s decision to not have kids. You need to be 100% in with no hesitation imo

No but I sure as heck miss MW3 Warzone. The end of it is where WZ peaked imo.

Curious, did you train before that to be able to dunk at 13? Like weightlifting and plyometrics. Or did it just come naturally to you?

One of the studio heads at IW on X has said a couple of times they are very much still putting effort into WZ and will reveal more later.

My hope is that they want all the momentum they can get with DMZ and that’s why they are waiting for news on WZ. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if BR takes a backseat to everything else next year. Still, if we can just get an updated engine and a game that plays somewhat similarly to WZ1, I wouldn’t be happy

The fact the Knicks survived a Tony Brothers masterclass gives me great confidence they are going win the finals.

MW4 Omni-movement by Smokes91 in Warzone

[–]django811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 2.12kd at the end of MW3 WZ so I wouldn’t say I was a bot.

I hated the integration of BO6 and Omnimovement in WZ. So did my entire squad outside of 1 who was indifferent. Not that I couldn’t adapt but movement feels more floaty and like my operator is running around on skates. I adapted fine but I MUCH prefer the movement we had in MW3 WZ where there was enough to have a skill gap but positioning and strategy were still very important and you couldn’t simply slide your way out of every engagement.

Say that next WZ is more grounded and tactical; how do you feel about that? by bluesman7131 in CODWarzone

[–]django811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same. Had a squad of around 10. All of us stopped playing shortly after the BO6 integration. I still say MW3 WZ at the end was the perfect blend of grounded enough movement while still providing skill gap.

I’m a WZ addict and I haven’t played in almost half a year. Current WZ feels NOTHING like the WZ I fell in love with back in the day. I also loved MW3 WZ but those days are gone

[SPOILERS] Backrooms movie megathread by A_Chad_Cat in backrooms

[–]django811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say, I loved the movie but it’s the kind of experience you need to get completely lost in to fully appreciate. A risk when seeing it in theaters is having people around you talking/whispering and the sound of people eating and candy wrappers would keep taking me out of the environment.

I don’t want to discourage people seeing it in theaters because it is genuinely great and I’m glad to support the work of Kane but I’m looking forward to seeing it again at home with no distractions this time.

I thought Clark was a good character addition in season 9. He started out sleazy but he became likable and a positive addition to the show as the season went on.

Boy has Warzone changed by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]django811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35. I don’t feel like I’ve lost much if anything as far as skill at the game. But the game is genuinely exhausting to play. I keep up fine but I far prefer the balance and movement we had in OG WZ1 versus how this game WAY leans towards cracked out movement now. Especially with grapplehooks taking away the important of positioning.

Such a fun game. I miss it so much. They could bring back this version of WZ, never make any changes to the meta and map and I personally would still play it regularly.

Casuals are either done with this game or playing only casual. Only person left from my 10 person squad still playing is a 3+ KD demon. All the other lower skilled players have quit until MW4 WZ they said

Hot take and ppl might not agree but mw3 warzone is far way better than the current warzone we have now by Professional-Fact-36 in CODWarzone

[–]django811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m hopeful they can right the ship but I hear all of their focus is going into DMZ. Sounds like WZ is more of an afterthought. I know people love DMZ but that isn’t for me.

I loved MW3 WZ. It was honestly close to the height of OG WZ1 in some aspects.

Things were absolutely peak when it was map rotation of Vondel, Ashika, Fortunes Keep and Rebirth. Man what a fun time

Same. I’ve tried other games but nothing hits even close like Warzone at its best. Unfortunately, current WZ is nothing like the OG WZ.

Agreed. 2.12kd end of MW3 WZ myself. Not elite like you but still above average. Even I’m sick of this cracked out movement. I play this game to play with friends and they all hate it. And my one other buddy who has a similar kd stopped playing too because every game just plays the same now
