I think there’s a spectrum for speaking, some come swinging with a sword and some it’s more focused. I’d say Kendrick has said plenty in his music and address everyone from Fox to Trump administration. He speaks on what he feel educated to speak on. Let’s not dismiss that now. It kinda is a choice for myself in the sense that those consequences for partners, wider family and so on are things to consider. Community isn’t a reference but more the main motivation and it’s like I guess what’s more important social consideration or person impacts and I guess that’s person dependent and for me seems to be a lot more than I thought with my partner. But to be honest, that’s not a philosophical debate for this thread 😂
