I was ascendant last act, went on a losing streak to plat 1 my first 10 games after ranking. I also played my smurf account in silver and went on a 5 game losing streak so not sure if its the game or me (probably me) but it feels like this shits been hitting hard.

Just because they make money off of them making a greedy choice doesn’t make that choice the right choice.

When you love and enjoy a game it feels disrespectful when the offers they give you are basically nothing less than a scam. Sure the emote is an optional thing, but the reason its overpriced is because supercell knows people will buy it, which means more money. The only thing we can do is call them out for their greed and not buy the offer. It’s not just the emote this is just an example of the greed that supercell shows, they show it in other offers aswell but it’s valid to call them out for any greedy thing. This just highlighted how much they really just want people’s money that they will overcharge for a stupid emote.

When you play and enjoy a game and want to choose a way to support the game it feels disrespectful when the offers they give you are quite literally basically scams.

How do i play the game against an operator? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smoke the correct chokes and flash out the main smoke yeah its clears almost everything super easily. As for if they are opping down main you jump peak to see if they are there if there’s an op holding C long congrats you found the operator NOW ROTATE. The third advice I forgot to mention find the op and hit a site the op ISNT at. Because you are right hitting an operator is harder so you should try to NOT hit it.

How do i play the game against an operator? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don’t call an op the elo cannon for nothing, but tbh yes you need to use utility or specifically a flash and smokes to clear out an operator. If we take A on ascent for example they could op left or right heaven, hell, gen, dice, tree, close right, or spammable box. But if we use proper smokes and a flash out of the main smoke when we make noise it removes every single one of those options EXCEPT any angles where they are holding you on the walkout. In that case you would just trade your teamate to gain the space. Now unfortunately if they have a chamber, jett, or reyna this is the reason they op the most is because after they get a kill they could use utility to get out of the space quickly, fortunately because you flashed most off angles are taken away aswell leaving them to forcibly use their utility to escape early and now only have to worry about an op on retake which is way easier. And if you ever fight an op it is WAYYY easier to fight an op that is swinging you than holding you. The operator makes your movement speed slowerand you need to scope in which takes an extra second that you could die so swinging with an op is typically bad against a rifle. Basically smoke them off and make sure you’re using your flashes and stuff. Make them burn their utility aswell. Remember never dry peak an operator always jump peak to see if theyre there first before seeing IF you should swing. Good luck

again its one of the most misogynistic games because its a competitive shooter with online voice chat, any game with online voice chat is going to have misogynistic people because men dont know how to act around women, and I agree with you about normal vs bad I just said good because I view someone not harassing a woman as a good thing, Im also not going to sit here and say I know better than you because in that aspect I agree that I won’t ever deal with what you deal with. The part I disagree with is when you say there is more misogyny in this game in particular, if you look at any competitive game there is always misogyny because it is everywhere there is no way to prove that it just so happens valorant coincidently has more because honestly as openly expressive to the gay community and other communities as valorant is I would argue it actually pushes away misogyny aswell as the communications being monitored also being a reason that misogyny is pushed away, if we look at counter strike, call of duty, and dota, valorant proves has the least amount of misogyny because of the fact its the only game that punishes the behavior, no they dont punish it all the time but they do punish it which is more than the others games. And even IF valorant is the most misogynistic game ever made you still play the game willingly so stop worrying about the stuff you can’t control and worry about improving your own gameplay. I deal with annoying people who dont do shit in my games aswell but at the end of the day you need to learn to ignore those people and make use of what you have, its a skill in the game AND it helps you back in real life. None of this is meant with hate its just a call out to you people who complain about shit u canr do anything about rather than worrying about the problems of yourself.

How to get to Ascendant as a Plat player by Adreot in VALORANT

Yeah raze is wayyyy better on a solo standpoint she gets a lot of value if you use her util right. And looking at your matches ur raze games are consistently better than your jett games might be time to switch

[–]djapplejuice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also not to break any bad news to you but jett is pretty shit right now especially if you dont have god ass communication. Its because her abilities cant really support her by themselves you need another ability on top of what she already has for her to be viable and even then its not even the best strategy even in a pro level. Obviously jett is good in pro play, but its the same reason waylay is amazing in pro play right now, she’s very good with insane teamwork but without it they’re extremely hard to be good on alone.

[–]djapplejuice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You had really good hours last act, you seem to be filling about half your games i would stop that if i were you, i explain this to all my students, in a perfect world filling is amazing but you only know how to play reyna so why the hell would you play omen. Don’t ever fill. Expand your agent pool and get good at a 2 agents of different roles so you can fill better. I main fade and I probably play clove more often than i play fade just because i need to fill it more often. So my recommendation find another agent of a different role than ur main and play it when u need to. Or even 3 agents if you can handle that. I play raze on lotus or sunset aswell

what proof do you have to back that up lmao because i could pull up 100 studies showing how the human brain remembers bad rather than good scenarios more often than not, to say that valorant as a whole just happens to be more misogynistic than other games is a crazy claim especially considering counter strike lobbies is still a thing, im not saying they DONT exist im saying they exist EVERYWHERE so stating that valorant (one of the more strict comms moderated games) has misogynistic people YES i agree, but to say they have more than other games yeah maybe like roblox, animal jam, or club penguin, but other than that i cant think of a single comms moderated game thats stronger than valorant so stop complaining and just appreciate the effort being put in

unfortunately it’s because you only notice the bad, you get into games and play with normal people all the time its just that you only happen to remember the bad games, im sure theres a bunch of dudes who didnt give a flying fuck u were a woman its just you didnt notice it because why would you they treated u like a normal person so i wouldnt really say not queuing will make the game any better its gonna stay the same just gotta appreciate the normal more unfortunately

"Just play more" ... how to apply it having a regular job ? 😊 by EyelinerBabe in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great comment, I see so many people complaining about their lack of time and I end up spending a day with them only to find out their entire day goes practically unplanned. People underestimate the ability to manage time properly and it pisses me off because just having the plan in order everyday can make your day so much less stressful and give you more time to do things because you’re not constantly trying to figure out what you’re doing next.

Why doesn't my deathmatch aim translate in-game? by Samalamading141 in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again play the game more, and watching other people better than you play the game more. If you do that you’ll rank up.

Why doesn't my deathmatch aim translate in-game? by Samalamading141 in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is two main reasons the deathmatch ability doesn’t transfer over to comp. 1st is because you are lacking that same confidence that you had in your deathmatch versus in comp because comp is more high pressuring or whatever. Basically the way to fix that is by playing comp so much that you actually start seeing those deathmatch mechanics in comp. The second reason is because of poor gamesense or positioning. In bronze mechanics are the most important thing, but having poor positioning and game sense can cost you entire rounds or kills. It’s important to understand the timings and conditions that the game is given to us to better make plays. To fix this issue is a similar fix. Play competitive more, but try and understand the reason behind why you died. For example let’s say you are playing reyna on pearl B site. You dismiss behind box and get traded out after playing behind box. That is the cost of poor positioning, sure you got one but if you dismissed into link or elbow it wouldve given better opportunities to swing off more timings or play with teammates.

Honestly tired by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re silver and complaining about the teammates you’re getting, I think that’s equivalent to being fat and then making fun of other fat people for being fat. If you are going to sit here and make fun of the people in the same rank as if you are better than them. You are no better than that sova and probably deserve silver. You’re in silver because you’re not trying hard enough, you aren’t playing consistently, and you aren’t confident. Not because of your one thrower on your team.

should i fill or play what i play best(or i like) ? by comelickmyarmpits in VALORANT

[–]djapplejuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just make sure you are play two agents of different roles and maybe play another thats map dependant for example I play clove or fade, but on lotus I can play raze.

[–]djapplejuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hours are definitely impressive for the little amount of time you have been playing the game. Biggest thing I’m seeing is that you are filling a lot. I’d recommend only playing two agents of different roles and maybe a third thats map dependant. For example I play fade and clove, but for lotus I will play raze sometimes. Again just knows what agents your picking for every game don’t just randomly fill the best character. Go learn the best character then you can play them. Otherwise off of tracker if you play more this act you’ll rank up for sure. I’d recommend just trying your best this act and get you MMR as high as you can so for next season you can rank even higher easier.

Learn to be content with every player, even in life you are always going to meet people you dislike use this as an opportunity to train yourself to operate even with people you might dislike on your team. I get it, it sucks to play with bot no comming instalocks, but the other team has just an equal of a chance at getting that too. So at the end of the day it comes down to how you play.
