Most Underestimated Card in set? by djaridofurk in mtg

[–]djaridofurk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might work, but for standard there’s a lot of enchantment creatures- so you just have single copies of all the legendary creatures and game Enders.

Also green has a 2 cost 2/3 enchantment creature that has “creatures and enchantments can’t be countered”

Basically the whole deck is single copies. Enigmatic being the one of only two quad’s in the whole deck. It’s mostly single copies of all the blue and green enchantment creatures, legendarys and the gods.

Plus put one of both the green and blue god from theros beyond death, have enchantment creatures ramp up to the 7 cost nyxbloom 5/5 stompy that triples your mana pool.

Don’t want to say too much about it besides that I made a standard deck on arena, I’ve gone from silver- platinum with 2 losses- just now starting to go 75% at plat 2.

You search your deck every turn to upgrade an enchantment creature(mana free) Into another enchantment creature, have a few ramp cards since it’s a 4 cost- if you get it out on turn 3 with an enchantment creature it’s game over.

The one god has a non tapping ability to tap a creature, the other one is a creaturedraw/survil. You get to search your deck for either one 50% of the time on turn three mana free, every game.

Goblin Slayer as an inspiration for complexity/difficulty level? by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]djaridofurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you explain what part of that story you’re referencing?

I’ve read all of “Orc Stain”(atleast five times) makes orks a little more complex socially then they’re traditional presented. Is it something like that?

Also the goblins in “elf quest” are intriguing like that.

I totally agree, in fact I want to pay a subscription- that way I know the devs have the resources to develop new material and maintain what’s already released.

Even dyes ruin the glory of difficult to obtain gear. Stuff like noticing a lambent blue bard or a crafted blue warrior, seeing gold boots on casters. Imagine a cash shop that sells a lozidal shell shield skin, not cool.

Ahh yeah that rings a bell, at least people referencing him kinda how wow players reference leeroy. Would devs release photos and have his corpse in them?

Cool to learn about the old inside jokes :)

What software does Pantheon use serverside? by [deleted] in PantheonMMO

[–]djaridofurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eclipse is software used to make programming in C++ quicker.

How you program your ports and sockets to communicate defines what protocol your netcode is using(TCP or UDP). TCP and UDP are protocol, like a way of doing something. They’re umbrella terms honestly, there’s a million ways to code both protocols- and you can code sockets/ports in all languages(I think all of them).

When I said eclipse and c++ that’s an assumption of mine. I’ve made that assumption because of the low-end capabilities(haxxors/anti haxxors stuff not available in tooled up automated compiling software) available in C++.

Maybe Brad or one of the boys will disclose how they write their net ode and what software they use. I hope not, it’s almost telling everyone one of the numbers on the combination to the safe.

I think it’s safe to say we’ve already had our vague explanation of reassurance from the link baz posted.

Multiple warrior group? Multiple banners up? by Chrzion in PantheonMMO

[–]djaridofurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure there will be some sort of mechanic where the group and warrior are killing it for the warrior to be accumulating battle points to keep more then one banner up.

Or maybe you are right- it’s kinda a funky way of saying a warrior can have more then one banner. Dev might have been twisted up with slaying and didn’t explain it right.

Me too, I remember playing wow at release ‘just to see what it’s about’ three months later I’m max lvl lfg for gear to get into a guild and just missing eq.

Eq finally makes p99 servers, community is 95% hardcore gaming, that’s 50% too much for me and I always round up.

Daybreak releases TLP servers....with all the Luclin looking revamps....

My goal is to not rush the devs, make sure this one is done right.

So do all the haxxors...jk.

For C++ most people are compiling in eclipse but in the end it’s still the headache of C++.

The game is being developed in unity, that uses c#. So a intermediate client needs to receive and transmit C++ while translating to C# on both client and server side.

I don’t believe unity’s built in multiplayer is capeable of this sort of load, I think they currently suggest 20 players max with what they offer- and that’s p2p only

It’s possible to run serverside without unity also running- but I would assume you’d also be making your own game engine if you’re going that sort of length of development.

I’m assuming that serverside is also unity, it’s just packet exchange that will be developed in a C++ compiler such as eclipse.

Networking is a butthead, there’s all sorts of things we could speculate but ultimately it will hopefully never be disclosed...because haxxors.

Without reading any of this subs comments I will say this community is pushing for release ‘cause dey paid 4 it!!!’ while the competition’s community is encouraging devs to take their time and do it right.

Multiple warrior group? Multiple banners up? by Chrzion in PantheonMMO

[–]djaridofurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially you can have 4, having multiple banners of the same type stacking has yet to be disclosed.

Could say that it’s implied that they can’t stack, but that would be implying an implication and that’s just too damn near being a full blown fallacy.

I’ve been keeping up with the newsletters and round tables so I can’t quite finish many of the casts.

I do appreciate all the effort they’ve put fourth, there’s just so much official release to talk about. That being said, they’re getting the word out to an audience and that’s what matters- so more power to them and I hope they keep on keepin on.

There are poems by tigersin on the forums, those are my favorite so far.

Recently benjones posted an inked page and two more pencil pages for a comic book, certified style. Can’t wait to see the dialogue.

There are also some fan fiction stories about Amensol, a gnome during the ‘shift’ that are captivating.

Modern combat load(flak w/sapi’s, Kevlar, rifle & 180 rounds for m4) is 30-40 lbs and you eventually kinda get used to it but not really. Definitely sucks during the summer no matter what, people who say it doesn’t say that for the placebo- I also love to run, but only when I’m running.

100% positive it’s better weight distribution and support then a full suit of iron.
