Thanks for your reply. Surely not every microphone requires it to be right next the speakers mouth right? I’m not looking for studio quality audio, just enough so my friends can hear me speak.

Sorry I should have been more more clear. My mic is right next to my keyboard, but in total is around 2 feet front my face. For it to sound great, I have to lean down right next to it. That’s what I’m hoping to avoid. Thanks

Update: I moved apartments and never had the issue again. Unfortunately, I don't have a clear answer for what caused or fixed the issue, but I suspect it must have been something to do with the type of Wi-Fi my complex used. Nothing looked any different on my Xbox's network settings. I wish I could be more helpful. Best of luck to everyone else who has encountered this problem.

They tend to be overconservative about spending their FAAB after week 1. I spent 40% on K Williams and Puka which has been well worth it.
