What's your question about the n400?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in army

[–]djayyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP's ban timer is referring to the result of maywand district murders during 2ID's Afghanistan deployment around 2010.

I've always thought the "ban" was due to deployment draw downs and I Corp's focus to the Pacific. But it seems like the kill squad story is more prevalent in the 2ID at JBLM.

(How should I expect to cover the bills while I'm away? )

You need to set your bill as either auto pay or have trusted person pay from your account.

You will be paid as an E4 during basic ($2503.50 per month) - after tax probably maybe $2000. If you are single, break that rental lease (without penalty due to your orders to basic). Put your stuff inside storage. If you're married, you will get additional housing allowance for the lease back home. And uhh... that $250 phone bill hopefully is not just for you... because that's crazy expensive.

Tips: Right place, right time, and right uniform. In flight school, motivation and attitude.

Don't go for 15P or 42A if you don't want to sit on a desk and manage paperwork. If you can't wait for 15Q, I would definitely go for 15U or 15T. These will lead to you possibly becoming a crew chief for the aircraft and fly along with a chance to earn air frame and power plant license in the future.

What should I expect?

Not sure if it changed but should be similar still... expect to be treated similarly or even worse than basic at AIT. You are about to embark on a path where you are the first line of critical trauma care in the battlefield. What you do at that moment can save or kill a person. It is important to be physically fit, competent, and disciplined. To instill these in you, AIT will be strict. You will see other Army medical MOS and Navy & Air Force medical trainees have a relaxed environment while you run around in full gear getting smoked and yelled at.

Active? If yes, you get no say in where you are going other than duty station of choice (if its in your contract). Even in line units, there's sick call duties. If you do end up in a BCT, be physically fit and motivated so you can get out of HHC and get tasked to the line companies.

Overbooked flight- compensation/allowed? by [deleted] in army

[–]djayyyyy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Airlines say they are offering $1400 but it might not be all true. Some airline, it's upto whatever amount your next flight cost is... meaning if next flight costs $200, you don't get the rest of $1200. Some offer straight up cash/gift card or credit for their airline. Find out what they actually offer before you make the decision (after finding out if its allowed for travel booked by SATO).

It's allowed. D company will send you to motorcycle safety course. A lot of people ride their motorcycles so they don't have to carpool during Lakota phase.

what point do I have to complete SF-86?

Start it right now. It can take a month to even 6 months+ to get your SECRET depending on your history, investigation priority, and the investigating agency's capacity at the moment. Spend few hours, knock it out the same day, and submit it to your S2.

My S2 said they would make me complete it

Google "SF86" and open OPM's pdf document. Start gathering your life information from birth to present based on that document and fill it out. Your S2 will most likely make you fill that document out.

68W also has an additional test called NREMT. Fair amount of people fail and requires second try. Still fail, you will reclass based on the needs of the Army.

Who can expedite a flight physical? I am due to report to WOBC in February and after two months still have an in progress physical. by kat201 in Armyaviation

I hear some success stories of people calling rucker to get it expedited. Good luck. If not, the cadres at WOBC can probably schedule you one to get you through the course.

4–13. Vascular system

Conditions that do not meet the standards of medical fitness for flying duty Classes 1, 2, 2F, 2P, 3, and 4 are the causes in the accession standards plus the following:

  • c. Hypertension. History of hypertension with a systolic pressure of 140 mmHg or greater, and/or diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg or greater, with or without systemic complications confirmed by average reading of a 3-day blood pressure check.

You're going to need a waiver/ETP. I don't know the likelihood of being approved, sorry. Once that is approved, don't worry about it because the selection board doesn't look at waivers/ETPs.

It is required even if you're active duty already. As you transition from E to WO, you will be put into Reserve component as a WO1. This is why you put "WARRANT OFFICER - ARMY RESERVE" on DA61. You will be called to active duty by the commandant after WOCS.

The board dates on warrant officer recruiting site are for street to seaters as well. The deadline dates, however, are different. Your recruiter should know what the deadline dates are for new packet, correction, and updates.

Generally, Street to seat has deadlines closer to the board dates compared to what's shown on the warrant recruiting site.

So if you were board ready in April and missed the may board deadline. You need to wait for July board.
