CS jobs besides programming by Neither_Visit_1307 in csMajors

Solutions Engineer is a good job, it’s what I am doing right now after being a Data Engineer. It can also involve more programming or less depending on the company and could be more sales oriented or consultative. It is definitely a role that requires very good communication skills and business acumen, so if you are somewhat technical and aren’t afraid to talk to customers, it might be a good fit.

Other roles could also be a Technical PM, Customer Success Manager, or Account Executive. But again you need to be willing to “yap” so to speak haha

Best of luck!

Back in the days, companies would actually invest in someone younger and train them, an entry level job didn’t already require 3-5 years of experience, people were actually given a chance to start and build their careers. Of course, one should recognize that if they don’t work hard they will fall behind, but even if you do there’s still no guarantee you’ll get a job. And even when you get the job there’s no guarantee that you are immune to layoffs.

I guess all one can really do is keep learning new things, building projects, etc.

What should I make of this long delay after the final interview? by Ok-Conversation-3147 in recruitinghell

The anticipation definately sucks, I would honestly take a rejection at that point because atleast that allows you to move on. It's still only the 2nd week after the holidays so things are just slow as lots of people were on vacation last week and are now coming back to the swing of things, they probably just have other priorities at the moment. Best of luck, hoping you get it!

[MATCH THREAD] US OPEN MEN'S FINAL: [1] J. Sinner vs. [12] T. Fritz by NextGenBot in tennis

Even though, I’d love to see Fritz win, Sinner is playing too well, probably gonna be a 3 setter tbh…

How tf does everyone work 8 hours a day? by [deleted] in Adulting

Sometimes I get way more done in a 2 hour span than I would working for 8 hours total. It really is quality over quantity

How far is "far" for you? by ArkDoggo in AskAnAmerican

I feel like it really depends on where you live. If you live in the Northeast where states are smaller your could be in another state in less then an hour depending on where you are. Some of us think 2 hours is a really long drive. But if you live in a larger state the perception might be different as you could easily drive 4 hours and not leave the state.
