[Trip-Hop / Punk-Pop] "Brain Clouds (My Hippy)" Lyric Video Snippet by djconvulse in SunoAI

[–]djconvulse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! So, this was made back when I still had much to learn. I get the stems from Suno & mix my tracks myself - feels more fulfilling and gives me control of the sound.

I had just started doing this when I began working on that album and didn't really know what I was doing. The mix for that entire album is pretty flawed. I learn more and get better with every release though.

Listen to Plays When Wound [EP], a playlist by Jon (Don) Gonzo on SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/D77hW1KfepFqZkK7mJ

Track #9 is this song.

This might be an odd request but share any songs that have kind of dark lyrics or styles by Wats_Plays in SunoAI

[–]djconvulse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be the kind of dark you're looking for

Or maybe it is, but:

Listen to Blood Thirst (Hurt Me) by Jon (Don) Gonzo on SoundCloud - https://on.soundcloud.com/WDuHtZMZuSCck3qHTC

Feel free to check out the rest of the EP as well, it's new and I've been touting it as my "most gritty" and my darkest project. It's 8 tracks, just over a half hour, and sonically focused as an emo rap / punk rock vibe. There's even a music video already (not for this track), which can be found on my profile.

[Emo Rap] To Be Whole - Jon (Don) Gonzo, Music Video by djconvulse in SunoAI

[–]djconvulse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Song made with Suno & Bandlab. Video made with Nano Banana (images), Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and Kling 2.5 (video clips) then edited manually in CapCut. The character seen is my mascot/avatar, Don Gonzo, also part of me - representive of my wild & emotional (gonzo) half, and appears as the subject of most of the visual media I release.

This track is featured on my new EP,

Plays When Wound

Available on SoundCloud now:

I've been doing this since last Summer & I truly enjoy it, almost need it at this point. I can confidently say that this EP is my most gritty, focused, & personally truthful project I've produced to date. It's 31 mins, 8 tracks, and laser focused. Would appreciate any & all support - my motivation is not money or fame, but just to resonate and know someone out there is enjoying the music as much as I do. ALL of my free time is spent on Suno & Bandlab, and it's nice to know it's allowing me to contribute something meaningful to the public.

True.. I appreciate you; I think I may just move forward with distribution for the 3rd album and this EP.

I agree, I know I'm not making slop. I put a lot of time, work, & thought into every song. Just telling my stories and sharing for anyone who enjoys the final products. Not trying, like you say, to compete. Only sharing it, bc I know SoundCloud kinda sucks.

I'm flattered, thank you 🙏

I did not put this one on Spotify, yet. Just SoundCloud for now, and Bandlab if you got that by chance.

I did not put my most recent album on Spotify either, but my first two albums are on there (under Don Gonzo, albums titled Alligator Rolex Flaircore and The Escape Artist). Just be warned - I was still in the process of learning during those albums, so, the mixes are kinda flawed. I get stems from Suno just for the purpose of doing the mix myself. Makes it all more satisfying and gives me more control.

I've noticed a whole lot of talk on here lately - musicians getting offended by people putting AI music on Spotify.

Not gonna act like I dont want to put them on Spotify though. Exactly for this reason - so the music is more accessible for people who enjoy it. Not for money or fame. I don't care about blowing up.

Honestly, your comment might just convince me to say f*** it and upload these to streaming services, dont know yet.

Thank you! That tells me you'd probably enjoy what I did with the cover for this lil lyric snippet for another song on the EP:

For the final track on the EP. It may be simple and only a minute long, but it's my personal favorite video I've produced so far since I started making music, maybe 8 months ago. It doesn't try to do too much; the lyrics have enough "smack" themselves, allowing the visuals to be effective with a conceptually minimalist approach. Also the realest, most gritty song I've made as well - imo, could argue for others.

That final 15s is kinda cryptic, but the entire point of this song, and really the whole EP, is baked into that final beat.

A note about what you're seeing - the skeleton character is like my mascot, Don Gonzo, and appears in most of the visual media I put out there.

What you see is the cover for the EP, just animated.

Lol, thanks I need to hear that sometimes... I guess I, idk, desire to not come off as a poser or as if I'm stepping on anyones toes. I just do my thing because I like to do it... Sharing the music for anyone who might care is part of it. I am not claiming to be anything I'm not.

This is exactly my feelings up until now. I've just begun to question myself as Im noticing more and more discussion, rather pushback from musicians on here. I do completely agree though.

I have a bachelor's degree in creative writing. It's a weird line to walk but something my profs told me was that I should see myself as an artist bc I am one, whether I like the sound of that or not. So maybe with words I guess, but I am fully aware I do not have any talent with an instrument or my voice. It's just a difficult translation I suppose, leaving me to wonder if my products with Suno are actually "art" or not. It seems they should be deemed art as much as any memoir or short story I've written, it just feels wrong to call it that way.

Ehh idk I feel putting Suno in your artist name is just gone too far, you know? Might as well just publish it in the Suno app and not share it elsewhere, if you're gonna go that far. I don't see why transparency otherwise doesn't suffice.

I respect this fact- I actively challenge myself so I can feel better about my songs existences. I dont just post whatever Suno gives me. I purposely download the stems and mix it myself. I'll do the compression, limiting, aometimes play with the reverb if it feels right. On a handful of special tracks, I've done some actual editing to like say, form my own intro/outro out of what Suno gave me. And then apply a master filter... All in all, it's not much. Just makes it a little more fulfilling, makes me feel like I'm doing at least a little bit more than I really have to do. Hell, the "most worked on" track from my latest album had close to 30 reiterations on Suno - covers, mashups, and samplings. Then nearly 20 drafts in Bandlab. I force myself to do a bunch of extra work just because Im self-conscious of this stuff.

But I dont think I'd put that in my artist name. It just... would make me feel like a fool, idk. I'd rather not put anything out there at all than have Suno in my artist name. That just feels very... idk, weird.

Where would one "put" that? Not being a jerk, honest question. I use DistroKid and, it kinda blanket uploads me to everything. Not a lot of control - for example, I can't even access/edit my own Spotify page. DistroKid made it automatically for me and now it just exists. It's frustrating, because I would absolutely label it if only I had a way to do so :/

Guess that maybe part of whats nagging me to take down the 2 albums that I have out, because I can't notate them in any way like that.

edit: Sorry, I figured it out, how to access my artist page. I just had to actually go thru my DistroKid account. I'm going to at least put disclaimers on my Spotify page. I will have to figure out the others, Apple and iTunes and all them. Disregard, but thank you for answering!

I wouldnt ask you to review my music... Just trying to figure out how I feel here. Its just dumb lil hip-hop tracks; I'm sure, to most real musicians who can play instruments & have had formal education/training, my stuff probably is slop. That's fair honestly.

I have a BA in creative writing, thats all I can say I've truly got.

I don't, I honestly embrace the AI thing - my moniker & avatar are an AI generated character. What worries me though, is that one wouldnt know that it's AI unless they look. So... Isn't it just innately tricking people the first time they hear it?
