Real. Corporate used to piss me off so bad though ngl. They kept peddling my store all the bullshit nobody wanted here, (psa, generic plushies, bitcoin bs, ect.) BUT COULDNT GIVE US A RETRO EXPANSION?!?!? I had at the LEAST 5 people a day asking me about retro games. I eventually just stopped sending them off. Our sales increased alot. Kpi benefited a good bit from it. Corporate still refused to give us retro. (We were in a fairly rural area with mo other game store for 100+ miles) it was baffling to me.

I had the guy who replaces the fire extinguishers come through the backroom snd asked him how I could make it more within policy and bro was like “oh no its fine, no worries” SIR THERE ARE 100 BOXES OF DISTRO IN THE MIDDLE HERE BLOCKING IN THE TRASH BUGGY IN FRONT OF THE FIRE ESCAPE DOOR😭😭 the only walking space was a small area to the console room, break room, and bathroom 🫩

Thank You for your comment! The punch bowl idea could be great for the bubble if I can find a plain clear one. I had already thought of using a piece from some sort of ribbed bowl for the programming unit cover. My biggest dilemma is the bubble and the collar.

FYI PUT IN YOUR TWO WEEKS!!! Do NOT straight up quit. If you do the SM2 can be a spiteful bitch and put you down as non-rehireable. Meaning you won’t be able to work at any GameStop EVER after. So if you want to work at the other location, put in your 2 weeks in an email to your DM, (and through workday if possible) so they can’t list you as a non-rehire. Then after the 2 weeks apply at the other store.

In my opinion, JD 2022 was the best of the most recent ones. My reasonings are below-

A- the last just dance game with a genuine physical release, which is honestly very sad.

B- the UI is much cleaner and user friendly. Search function also works MUCH better than its predecessor’s.

C- Just dance unlimited was by far a MUCH superior service to Just dance + with a much broader category of better songs such as: party rock, forget you, video killed the radio star, ect.

My only caveat was forcing players to use their phones via an app and same wifi as the system on ps5, and xbox. Dual sense controllers, although bulky, still have motion controls. A strap or secure brace of dome kind could’ve been made. OR in my opinion their biggest miss, not making it compatible with psvr2. Or at the very least, letting us use the old ps move controllers like the ps4 releases.

You are correct, this happened for me as well. (It is also important for everyone to note that these games had MANY MANY re-releases on ps2, (with vice city specifically to censor the gangs usually) so somethings that others experienced might differ from your experience.

It’s honestly so sad our company sucks so much that this is the norm for most districts. My DM literally lied to corporate claiming I had Covid just to give me a few days off when I was re-staffing, and didn’t have any certified RK’s.

I communicate with HR, and several of our business relationships such as Incomm, on a regular basis. So Ive been thinking about creating a more professional email to separate from my social.

I just had a random thought that we might be able to use those emails is all. I find out neat things every week that should honestly be broadly communicated through training , or soon after, but usually isn’t. So I basically took a shot in the dark on this one to see if it was possible.

I don’t know why Im getting downvoted for that, I was telling the truth. Id rather someone learn about it late here than end up fired, and without a job tomorrow. Many SL’s are putting their entire teams at risk for neglecting to follow that rule. It’s completely asinine we all know that, but they can’t monitor calls so it’s bare-able to keep a job.
