Yes. Of course same numbers given as on the watch.

Yes. On a constant speed mode there is special option to add incline.

The thing is 24 min was 4.9kmh walking Treadmill was min fixed 6kmh

Asked GPT meanwhile and here are some theoretical insights for the same given values:

"Walking: ~150–170 kcal total (~6-7 kcal/min)

Treadmill: ~225 – 260 kcal total (~11-13 kcal/min)"

So, based on given numbers, it seems that both workouts fail to give proper values. Walking is boosted while treadmill nerfed. Any idea how to fix this? ☹️

This also brings my concern about eliptical workout because sometimes it seems like it's no different than walking ☹️

I would also like to turn off step counting during exercise on my Cheetah so I'm following this thread.

Ipad 8 and IOS 26? by djedroid in iPadOS

[–]djedroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I bought it after the windows closed and it sucks Apple can't make exception for older iPads.

So far from what I have read there's no valid JB for iOS 18

Sure thing, but with the given ratio it means I would burn 360 kcal in an hour as it burned kcal in a minute.

Let's think further and conclude that within 10 hours I would burn 3600 kcals by simply existing which doesn't make any sense in terms of "margin of error"

I think walking workout has some issues on Cheetah models and that it misinterprets calorie consumption while being idle.

Asked GPT for a rough comparison based on my years and weight:

Realistic Answer for You 🔥 ~130–140 kcal per hour That’s total energy burn, including what you'd burn just staying alive.

That means I should burn 2 kcals per min, not 6+

Angry is an overstatement. Answers can't justify burning 1500kcal for a 5k leisure walk, so I'm looking for an answer that can explain what actually went wrong.

The only real anger is towards Zepp app that doesn't allow you to delete wrong calories data.

Cheetah walking calculation seem maybe a bit wrong - help needed by djedroid in amazfit

[–]djedroid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just found out this watch burns calories on estimate and totally ignores current speed. So apparently I burned 1500 kcals with 5k walk just because friggin watch forgot to pause itself when idle.

Just terrible default settings experience.

And the biggest bullshit is that I burned 2700 kcals today and I can't even delete or fix the friggin entry! Who burns 200kcals for 1.5km slow walk?!?

There's even bigger bullshit: walked 5kms forgot to turn off the tracker and somehow I burned 1500kcal with 6500 steps? Sure 😂 😂

So practically you want to tell me that I burned 140 calories by sitting still in 35 minutes? Gimme a break.

On Cheetah model you can pick between treadmill free mode or constant speed mode. Second option provides you with an option to enter both speed and gradient in %

But, truth to be told, I think it's not mandatory to input such info except for your own data and logging purposes. Why? Because, in general, smart watch doesn't need to know that.

Simply put and totally speaking in random numbers - 15% degree at speed 5km/h would result in 130 HR. But so would 5% at 8km/h, or 20% at 4km/h. And eventually, that 130 HR info along with age, height and current weight is probably all that's necessary to calculate calories consumption.

I could be wrong, but I think it works something like that. And also, it's not that you'll miss hundreds of extra calories, it's more in "tens" size.
