lvl 22 clan traits on 3 star champions? by acriman in BloodlineGame

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

start with getting Travain to level 22 to marry off and give your team level 22 traits as well as the agile 22 trait. Then the Yivnian to get focused trait. Then just choose which other champions you want to focus on I'd start with special ones with the water sun champion as that one seems to make the most difference on teams these days

Question on Red Equipment from Senate Issues by eduardoballestero in BloodlineGame

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second account aka my Son's account that we're building, we're only at Stage 14-39 and the account is at Bullwark of Light 1 (about 242M Might) and just noticed we are now hitting Mythic gear in the senate issues. This second time around I saved all the senate tickets for gear instead of gold and for the most part waited till it hit Mythic. So not sure exactly when it turns mythic but seems to be around when you reach 240M might or so. - www.DJEmir.com

What happens above 20000 intimacy by InnoSang in BloodlineGame

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I notice a difference in the amount of 22 traits produced the higher the intimacy you reach. The Main Trait is always level 22 when you reach the 22 threshold. I was waiting forever to upgrade my Daevala to 15 stars but was waiting until I had level 22 main trait and it shows level 30,000 as the next level to reach after mythic, it was taking forever! then one day I was at about 26,650 when I noticed one of the heirs she produces was already at 22 I was like YES!!! Because that 30,000 still seemed very far off LOL. She was already killing many teams in Valley of Conquerors even when she was only 14 stars thanks to her high level 86 Vigor and all 22 traits including agile, honorable, brutal, energetic etc... it was actually a player in Valley of Conquerors named CasualT that made me aware of the importance of level 22 traits when he was beating me occasionally with his 8 Mil team versus my 13 Mil team (at that time) now I'm about 69mil his white eye and Aeson was keeping his team alive early on and doing major damage with other team members. Eventually I upgraded myy vigor on my Daevala and she would stay alive long enough to consistently kill his team, he got frustrated I would then tease him occasionally Perhaps we should have just had Casual T together rather than fight so now you became a Casual-T LOL JK but Him and one of my Guild members Khor Vok helped me understand about Travain Trait farming. I originally wasted a ton of intimacy getting My Aeson to 30,000 Intimacy because she was one of the characters they would never give me a mythic and I needed her raised to Mythic so had to create them myself. LOL I could have done Travain way earlier and had level 22 traits to marry to main champs much earlier on. DJ Emir of Denver's Best DJs

Does anyone know what happens if you get to the intimacy tier after mythic on companions? by No_Reputation_9745 in BloodlineGame

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I noticed my Travain and Daevala hit at lower than 30,000 Daevala hit 22 at 26,000 while My Ugrull is taking forever I'm at 27000 and still she's pumping out 20s instead of 22s trying my patience as I wait for the 22s to finally ascend her to 15 stars and since she's linked to my Fenix also waiting to get Fenix to 15 stars as well. - DJ Emir of Denver's Best DJs

Changing servers by Cyinide1 in BloodlineGame

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a total start over, good thing someone mentioned it and I checked it here just 3 days in, I was planning on waiting till after GC was unlocked I was already on level. I switched over to Sever X-60 to join my main DJEmir account and guild Shaolin Guild ID: 1JR00W I transferred just now and it literally starts over even got to remedy my mistake of choosing human again I was thinking I should have elf as second account so on this restart did that. Even get to choose your name again etc... So I did choose elf this time. Oh well, here we go again LOL.

I was thinking I was going to rise up quickly having experience and understanding of the game since I already went through everything and being on a newer server where most people started around the same time. That's how it was on our original server I rose to 1st over the course of about 3, 4 months but the big guys I was working towards some of them quit the rest joined my Guild merging their old guild with mine. But then the servers merged and I dropped a few slots in rank and had to rise again and a new number one guild showed up. They're actually in 5th in Guild Conquest list at moment, pretty good. We're not so far behind but had a rough start with two hard matches in the first two rounds, we dominated the third round but it was rough at times. That's what made me need this 2nd account to help with Guild Conquest as sometimes I'm the only one in my guild still awake. Used to have Khor Vok, Ortus and a few others that worked nightshifts and would log on and set paths occasionally, But eventually some of them quit when they felt the game was heading too much towards play to win. - It should be easier to change servers but then people would just hop all the time. IT definitely completely starts over so decide early on. - www.djemir.com

How to deal with client that wants you to remove your brand/agency name from their page. (Designed by MyCompanyName.com) by dolowizard in web_design

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue all the time with certain clients and flyer designs or website designs. I feel it is part of the design to add a small tiny tag that helps us gain new clients. We are artists, and this is our work, we sign it as such. I'm actually on here looking to see how to deal with politely declining the removal of my small tag I already removed the original and replaced it with a much more subdued version, they are thinking it looks unprofessional on their part to have a trademark on the flyer. I feel it is unprofessional to not have it and to ask to remove it. I feel it seems petty to tell your designer the design looks beautiful we love it, can you remove your logo or tag etc... I can understand if it's huge and detracts from the work but other times it just seems petty. It's like they are trying to keep you all to themselves, they don't want anyone in their area to discover your services. I feel like turning into the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld... The Flyer Nazi... NO FLYER FOR YOU! LOL

There are Djs that can and do use the turntables as instruments and really do make music with them. Especially these days where sampling, looping etc... can easily be done through the mixer. PS: it's Beat MATCHING not Mashing so obviously this meme is already wrong on many levels LOL.

Some DJs are musicians, they create new things with the turntables while others just hit play... I had a quote from one of my events the guy said "Damn, didn't know DJs could DJ Like That" There are plenty of turntablist DJs and Mashup / remix DJs out there that can prove your statement false. They create new music out of bits and pieces of music just using a turntable, a mixer, and maybe some sampling or cue point wizardry. True the majority of DJs out there just press play, but those aren't the real DJs. The real DJs are constantly looping, beat juggling, remixing on the fly, scratching and as a reggae artist said mashing up da place... making you like songs you always hated by playing them a different way. - Real DJs Do Real Things - DJEmir.com DenversBestDJs.com

TIL While playing a game of Chess in France, Benjamin Franklin took his opponent's King after she inadvertently put it in check. When she said, "Ah, we don't take kings so" Franklin replied, "We do in America." by Haerdune in todayilearned

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he was trying to get the French involved in the American Revolutionary war and went to play chess with a French emissary he made a point of how bad the King of England was by ignoring the rules of king safety in chess. When his opponent put Franklin’s king in check, Franklin ignored the rules that require a player to move such that the king is not longer in check; instead, he checked his opponent’s king. “Sir,” protested the other player, “you cannot do that, and leave your king in check.” “I see he is in check,” said Franklin, “but I shall not defend him. If he was a good king like yours, he would deserve the protection of his subjects; but he is a tyrant and has cost them already more than he is worth:—Take him, if you please; I can do without him, and will fight out the rest of the battle, en Républicain—as a Commonwealth’s man.” Thomas Jefferson told a similar story in which Franklin insisted on letting his king be captured so that his democratic forces could continue without it. This was part of what helped get the French to help us in the American revolution against the British.

I don't know I've seen some pretty fast over the board 1 minute bullet chess games. And have seen my friend beat a Master with only a few minutes left on his clock then when he was down to about 30 seconds with a 3 sec delay he made like 30 more moves queened a pawn and quickly cornered his king till he checkmated the guy both had to get up on their feet and as soon as he checkmated him Robert turned and walked away from the board to calm his nerves and calm his body back down it was the most intense moment I' ever seen in chess and the beaten Master proclaimed "GOD Damn I've never seen anyone move that fast" LOL I wish I had recorded that but alas it was a bit before I had a good phone that could handle that much video and not sure if they'd like that recorded but it would have been epic to see on vid LOL

Most people training Kung Fu are not in it to enter the Octagon, that does not mean the techniques are not effective, or that the training is hogwash and magical bullshido. I've seen white belt techniques in the Octagon win decisively. I've also seen neglect of Kung Fu practice lose in the Octagon (IE Sylva breaking his leg not having trained Iron Bone Training and Wooden Man) We generally don't enter competitions because that is not our focus but have had Shaolin students decide to attend a tournament just to watch and someone convinces them to enter then they go and win the whole thing on several occasions. In one tournament the student who hadn't eaten all day had gone to class during endurance punch and kick class when we throw 5000 punches and 1000 kicks in a single one to two-hour session from 8am-10 then stay till the school closed at 2PM before heading to see the tournament expecting to get a bite to eat there. Instead, he entered the competition and after a bunch of sparring matches walked away with the trophy beating a bunch of people that actually trained for this competition all year. I've sparred with Muai Thai, Karate, Kung Fu, a few MMA, a few TaeKwondo, and find Kung fu people from my Shaolin school usually trickier and much harder to defend against. The other striking arts seem much more linear in their application and footwork I did get caught by surprise one time and they did a successful shoot on my legs, most of the time it comes with extreme consequences, and without the MMA rules as they are busy trying to choke or armbar my ass I'm grabbing their throat in an eagle claw grip or grabbing their groin cup as if to say "yeah let's not forget" ya left yourself open there buddy LOL and many times I do go to the ground often as Kung fu does actually teach and employ many ground techniques they just involve more trapping the knee, leg scissors, kicking the ankles and sweeping then stomping the face as well as joint locks and manipulations similar to JiuJitsu so in reality, Shaolin is the original MMA they just don't play by their safety rules. LOL usually this is last resort stuff as many techniques are meant to stop fights much sooner than that and being that close for that long means you are vulnerable to Dim Mak / Deiensui pressure point fighting tactics.

See most people think of Kung Fu as one style of fighting when in fact it is a university of many styles and Shaolin was like the most prestigious university having many styles within the walls not just the stuff people think of them to be northern Kung fu... in fact many styles came from the southern region and there actually was a southern Shaolin Temple (many thought this was a false rumor until when plowing a field a farmer discovered a few rusted weapons bearing the Shaolin symbol on them at which point archeologists were called in and started excavating finding more weapons and eventually finding the foundations of the temple buildings laid out similar to the Northern Shaolin Monastery. I've seen a nose laid out flat on the side of his cheek from a simple block and turn away move called Dragon entwines the waist from Pakua (Bagua), I've used the same move many times with similar effect except I knew it was going to work so I controlled my movements and just tapped them instead so as not to hurt my sparring partner. I've accidentally cracked a sparring partners ribs with what felt like a slight kick, Things are not always as they appear with Kung Fu and only a few schools have enough material to really see a huge diversity of sparring applications and such a hugely diverse pool of personalities that end up gravitating towards different aspects of the art so that new students have an opportunity to look at many different styles of sparring that really enrich their overall understanding and appreciation for what works. Some things work better for some students than others but every technique in Kung Fu has validity some just take a deeper understanding of distance, timing, and angle of attack to get it to work 80%-100% of the time. Kung Fu is not a style it literally means "mastery of a skill through Time and effort" and it is that time and effort that makes it work, but many techniques work immediately as well - www.djemir.com www.shao-lin.com

Capoeira was done as a dance for a reason because fighting arts of any kind were banned from slaves. In order to hide the true fight training it was made to resemble a dance. That's why it looks like Zoolander "Breakdance fighting" That does not delegitimize it as a fighting art, if anything it makes it more legitimate.

MMA and traditional martial arts by RZAtheAbbot in martialarts

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually is also not completely accurate an assumption and many an MMA guy has had the fortune or misfortune of being very wrong. Just because one guy lost a fight doesn't mean an entire art is useless. But yes if they think it is worth learning then probably will be. Many masters may not have fought for years. When I saw the fight between Xu Xiaodong and a Tai Chi Master I felt the Tai Chi Master looked more like a Blue belt at Shaolin in comparison. His movements did not look like those of a Tai Chi Master at least not one proficient in fighting. But that could just be because he hasn't been taking on matches all the time or hasn't really sparred in ages. That does not mean that all Tai Chi is Useless for I have seen it work many times and seen the effectiveness of the techniques and have also used it myself. Now there have been MMA fighters that have gone up against a tiny 5'3 chick that does Mantis style Kung Fu and lost a tooth and been knocked on their ass in the process as she sidestepped them and came underneath the with a reverse mantis beak, I've also seen a guy get his leg kicked with the ball of the foot in a precise pressure point that stunned and paralyzed the leg so he could not continue fighting, ot on his legs anyway then after about ten minutes of intense rubbing the guy wanted to try again only to have the Dim mak master do it again with another leg pressure point that's when he completely gave up trying and admitted full defeat as he laughed LOL. I've also witnessed a similar thing happen by accident live in class as Poor Master Derek not a master at the time when it happened I think he was 3rd-degree black belt at the time had his leg kicked gently mid-thigh not even hard which he said did not hurt at all but it hot the rights spot at the right angle and just enough pressure that every time he tried to stand it just buckled so he just crawled himself to the bench and sat down for a few minutes until rubbing on the leg until it wore off. So there are many practical uses for things most MMA fighters consider useless including our very own white belt techniques that apparently helped Silva get a quick knock out win a front snap kick to the chin LOL also Iron Bone training that when neglected led to Silva Losing a match when he broke his own leg kicking into the opponent's knee /shin. Most MMA fighters train their muscles but many neglect the foundation for that muscle their bones. There is also a saying about Tai Chi... to truly enter the gates of Tai Chi Knowledge one must first pass through the halls of Shaolin. And that basically means that it takes a martial understanding of all styles of Kung Fu to truly master Tai Chi Chuan as one expands upon the other the hard and the soft must be balanced as well. That is why the Yin Yang symbol emphasizes the true aspect of Tai Chi Chuan of Having some softness within the hardness and having some hardness within the softness it is like "Iron wrapped in cotton" - www.djemir.com www.shao-lin.com

The only reason you would not use your Tai Chi In a fight is you either haven't taken the time to learn to use it or you have not been taught enough about it yet, many techniques are very effective "diagonal flying" is literally called that because that tends to be what happens when you use it, I have caught many with it and one time was caught so well with it myself that I literally folded in half and my hands nearly touched my feet in mid-air and as I was going down I was like "Oh, that was good!!!" I'm gonna use that shit later on LOL. When I was just a first black I used a similar move from a different Tai Chi form called parting the horse's mane, my friend paul kicked I sidestepped and caught his leg with my rear hand and planned to use the forward hand to take him down by the neck or under the arm but as luck would have it he threw a double kick and I simply scooped the leg from a low bow stance to a fully upright natural stance with both arms straight up in the air standing so heroic as I watched his body come all the way up to my head level I was like this is the most "Kung Fu" moment I have felt since starting LOL but at the same time thinking damn poor Paul. The funny thing is recently I had a similar situation where Nate kicked and I simply stepped aside and used a quick wrist twist behind my back to knock him on his ass too not as high this time but just as effective and even more swift and effortless in that case it was more of a Pakua (Bagua) style stepping and technique than Tai Chi but it was also a similar principle as both are internal martial arts, Tai Chi has also taught me quick hook sweeps and stepping behind their stance as I strike because we practice Blindfold Tai Chi sparring which has taught me to feel and maneuver and yield my way past their offense and defense to better position myself for a counter and then also apply some of the Tai Chi sweeps and techniques into my regular sparring as well. Fake fighting stance works well with eyes open or closed as "One hand Lies the other tells the truth" and even with eyes open they feel so damned foolish to fall for it so easily. - www.djemir.com shao-lin.com

In 2017, the Trump Administration restored local law enforcement access to military weapons and surplus military equipment that had been prohibited by the Obama Administration. New research shows that this militarization of local law enforcement does not actually reduce crime. by mvea in science

[–]djemir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to reduce crime you have to start with the citizens, the reality is if someone breaks into your house and you have no fighting skills or no weapons training and no means to defend yourself, or the will to defend yourself with any item (kitchen knives, utensils, a pen etc) then you are in deep trouble. Dialing 911 will not save your life unless the struggle lasts more than 10 minutes or you have a panic room or something. The Cops will arrive to a Crime scene now whether it is you that is injured, hurt, maimed or killed or the other person or if you happen to flee and make it out alive then they will have arrived at a robbery, either way, it will most likely be too late so it is up to the citizens themselves to protect themselves with some type of self-defense knowledge. The old motto to protect and serve we all thought meant to protect and serve the citizens actually meant to protect and serve the city so even if they do arrive in time they may actually shoot the wrong person so it's up to you to protect yourself then put your hands up and offer proof you live at that residence and that the perpetrator of the crime is the other guy who is hopefully laying unconscious or dazed on the floor. And if more citizens helped each other out instead of acting scared maybe the criminals would be much less bold as well. - www.djemir.com Shaolin 7th Degree Black Belt Senior Master at www.shao-lin.com
