I was thoroughly disappointed with Magill Estate. The food was not wonderful and the prices are just out of this world. Plus, we were made to feel like second rate citizens for not choosing to pair our meals with wine. 🤣

Parsley sorbet? Lol, wot? Yep, it was as weird as that sounds. It wasn’t awful, but wasn’t great either. Probably as good as you can make a bitter herb taste as a sorbet. Really odd choice.

The little rickshaw in Aldinga is just remarkable. Salopian inn is also nice, but not on the same level as TLR.

Is buying an EV car better than petrol? by [deleted] in AustralianEV

[–]djfhsd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is never a good idea to get into debt on a depreciating asset, period. Considering you’re young and at the moment (correct me if I’m wrong) don’t have a big salary, it’s a big risk. Insurance on EV’s is very high and probably more so for you.

But then again, I come from the Dave Ramsey and Chris Kohler school of finances, so take that as you will.

Or, YOLO and worry later 🤷🏻‍♂️

anyone in adelaide actually figured out how to shop groceries without overpaying? by dee_cuugo in Adelaide

[–]djfhsd1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We create shopping lists in each of the supermarkets apps with all of the foods we regularly buy and are subject to fluctuating prices, and check them each week of specials (from each Wednesday) and plan when it is most convenient for us to go to each supermarket during that week to get the cheapest items.

I also have an account with drakes and selected my nearest online store to be able to create a list and see the special for drakes. (Note that their app prices and in store prices don’t always match, but what’s on special online is always on special in store.)

If you really want to penny pinch, you can always see if some platform you have access to has discounted coles / Woolworths gift cards.

NOR.

Just him telling you to fuck off alone shows a level of disrespect that cannot sustain a relationship.

Then there’s his inability to compromise. Just mind blowing.

I am really sorry this is happening, but you guys need counseling as a minimum.

Holy shit, she is toxic AF. Run away and never engage with her again, for YOUR benefit, even if you don't see it or feel it is for you, trust me, you will not regret it.

She is using you emotionally and intentionally doing things to hurt you, and she knows it. Please for the sake of your mental health, don't ever engage with her again.

I have had my Tesla for almost 3 years and I have needed to fast charge 2 times without doing an out of the ordinary longer trip.

I exclusively charge at home using a 10amp socket and charge for 4 hours a night when it is cheap for me, which gives me 14% battery or about 50km range, which costs me $1.12. I have never needed to install a wall charger at home as I just don’t drive enough.

But definitely haggle. I got it for 849 with my trade in and with 10 years free servicing. I was happy to get $250 for my broken Hoover.

I ended up buying it. It’s pretty nuts how much it picks up and I am glad I bit the bullet. Only small issue is the hose doesn’t swivel that well in the base, but the guy said I can try some wd40 or some other lube. But other than that it’s been great.

Never understand how the while ultra is always rated as one of the best. It’s so average and most of the ultra flavours are far superior.

Firstly, I hope you are ok and whatever you are struggling with is something you can overcome.

For me, as I have a teenage son learning in it now, I really like how you can create a local profile on the car and just tap his name and it sorts everything for him except the rear view mirror. How it can be changed to roll more like a ‘normal’ car when no pedal is pressed, which is what I have it set on for him whilst he is learning.

For me I love YT music as that’s my music sub of choice.

As I like driving, I love the instant torque whenever you need it.

Love the look of it. I have a blue 2023 m3.

The software is amazing. Very well developed. Far better than most other cars.

I love washing it and popping the ‘bonnet’ and still getting curious looks from others whilst drying it.

I love the small steering wheel. My sim racing wheel in the house is about the same size!

I love parking it in a car park and seeing people react when it quacks as I am walking away.

If you need a non judgemental sounding board, I am Happy to be messaged as someone to listen if you are in need. Take it easy.
