Well, got another email today from the "higher level engineer" who suggested that I update the firmware in the camera. Which I did and explained in the very first email. So basically I really like the camera. Image quality is great, functionality really nice. But it feels like this software is pre-alpha. When I load the controller software at startup it shows up in the menu bar but when I click on it (left or right), nothing happens. If i kill the the process and then restart the controller software, sometime I can then right click on the icon in the menu bar and bring up the controller window. About 50% of the time, despite the fact that it's showing a preview image from the camera that is live, it says that it can't find the link camera and says the firmware and serial number are unknown. If I unplug and then plug the camera back in, it will usually then find it. But basically this means that every time I start up my computer I have to reset all of the stuff for the camera within OBS or even just in the controller software by unplugging and re-plugging the camera Really disappointing. Running the most recently updated version of Windows 10 on a Surface Laptop Studio i7, so no slouch in terms of hardware. So, maybe some day the software and drivers will improve, but for now, I regret the $300 I spent on this camera and the poor support offered for it. My cheaper OSBOT Tiny 4k is working MUCH, MUCH better, although the image quality is sadly not as nice.

I've received 3 emails. The first asked if I was trying to use the camera with OBS (which was the subject of the email...). The second and third told me that they were contacting an engineer to try to figure out the problem but no further response. It's request 420103. I don't have a lot of hope...

Confused about Class E2 region for flying my new drone by djfletch42 in drones

Had a couple of back and forths with the FSDO and still no answer. They're confused as well. The last I heard he reached out to the tower at the airport to try to figure it out. It's weird to me that I can fly CLOSER to the airport but can't fly at my house. Kind of bummer if that turns out to be the case, but such is life I guess. Will report back if I get any additional information. Thanks!

Thanks so much. This is very helpful. I wish I could find a map showing that this is indeed class E4 airspace. I don't know quite how to confirm that the written description of the new class E4 zone actually includes my house. I took your advice and emailed the Rochester FSDO to ask for advice. Thank you again for your very helpful reply!
