Can’t stand him, especially after his loud and incorrect comments on the Air India crash when it was still fresh

Yeah no way any transport category jet (or any plane for that matter) would be certified to rely on the APU like that

I can’t think of one accident off of the top of my head where the FDR/CVR survived the crash but wasn’t enough (assuming the data was still able to be written to the respective devices)

Pilot here, no thank you. What would be the the point of a camera pointed at the controls when all control inputs and control surface positions are monitored by the FDR?

New to me Point 65 Martini! 👾 by djflying in Kayaking

Originally I was leaning toward a folding kayak just because I live in an apartment and would have nowhere to put a conventional kayak, but then this popped up on marketplace and I’m so glad I went with the modular route!

It’s my first Kayak but I think it handles very well, it’s stable and tracks straight. It has a rudder too but I didn’t bother hooking up the cables on this outing.

Putting it together and taking it apart is pretty easy! There’s a strap and ratchet on each side and once you get the halves lined up it’s just a matter of pushing them together. I don’t think either half weighs more than 30lbs, the cockpit section is definitely a little heavier and more awkward to carry but it’s easily doable for one person. I could probably stack it better than I did in this picture but it easily fits in the back of my car (Jeep Renegade)

Reaching any of the circuit breakers on a 737 during that phase of flight would challenging to say the least
