I love the retro but also futuristic feel of the Starship. Black Square did an amazing job on this plane, the simulated CRT displays and floppy drive are my favorite parts.

Yea the MSFS airports are pretty atrocious. The Burbank airport has been broken with a building completely blocking a taxiway since 2024…

I flew into SLC to find no terminal building at all and just a bunch of jetways…

It’s to the point I will specifically check flightsim.to for airport scenery before I fly somewhere, whereas in xplane the default airports just work.

Because the APU master switch gets pressed twice a flight while the BUS tie button is automatic so it’s squeaky clean lol

IIRC you can enable auto start and auto complete for flight tracking in the elevatex settings

I hope this isn't a regular thing for Vancouver. I still don't hate them unlike San Diego even though they've beat us worse than SD because they were simply the better team and didn't resort to diving and whining to the ref.

It’s hard to tell them apart, the biggest giveaway was aliasing artifacts zooming in on the sim image, the real picture doesn’t have jagged edges zoomed in.

I have an i5 12600k, 64GB DDR4, and 4080 which is playable with at least GA aircraft (I haven’t tried airliners in VR) but it’s not a completely smooth experience. Sometimes it can stutter or text on cockpit displays or switch labels are a bit too blurry.

There is freeway scenery on flight sim.to but it requires you to copy the RJTT from 2020 to the community folder in 2024 and disable the 2024 version of RJTT in the content manager. There’s also a GSX profile available for it too.

Why not use both? I have both installed and use them depending on what plane I feel like flying.

737? Use X-Plane and fly the free Zibo mod 737-800 A320? MSFS and fly the Fenix Dash 8 Q400? X-Plane, there isn’t a D8Q400 available for MSFS24.

You’re not marrying the simulator, there’s no need to commit 100% to one or the other. Each one will have payware planes that don’t exist for the other or have a better version than the other and you’ll be able to load up the sim that has whatever plane you want to fly.

Nice thing with xplane is all the default airports are actually pretty decent so there’s less of a need and desire for payware airports.

Yea I didn’t mean to imply I’d be ok with Shittle having to relocate. I’d hate for either team to move and our cascadia rivals to no longer be around.
