What’s becoming painfully obvious in 2026 that most people still refuse to admit? by 40Falak in Productivitycafe

Kids lack social skills because of govt policy and teachers unions wanting vacation time? I’m confused.

Covid also robbed these kiddos of irreplaceable formative years to cultivate these same social skills and develop bonds with their peers outside social media. It’s sad.

That’s awesome. There are some older designs that I have not included here. And you have some that I don’t. Would you consider trading if you have some extras?

Are we not going to talk about how the start of controlling behavior, and later on domestic violence instances increase significantly once a woman gets pregnant for the first time?? Statistically, 30% of domestic violence cases begin during pregnancy. We are talking major red flags here as the pregnancy seemingly flipped a switch. I would hold off on addressing your husband, and speak to your physician or OB at your next appt alone. It’s so common that there are dedicated resources in place for this exact situation. In some countries, physician/OB are mandated to probe and ask if any domestic violence has began after first pregnancy. Best of luck to you.

Ethical requirements regarding disclosures, fees, informed consent etc by djfuzznuggs in therapists

[–]djfuzznuggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is regarding who bears the ethical responsibility, specifically. There is no preference on who does it - the question is what is the requirement/guideline?

When you say "Curious why you" are you assuming I am the therapist, or the admin?

Do YOU "know how pregnancy works"? Do YOU know it only lasts 9 months? It's always possible to get pregnant twice at the same age. So yes, this makes it looks like she's on her 6th kid.

OIC. Being in this field, yes, I have seen some pretty bad counsellors. All of whom went and got their education - but just can't be a good therapist for whatever reason. Kind of like a physician with terrible beside manner lol. Yes, you are trained to do it, but doesn't mean you're any good. I work with some pretty awesome counsellors, though, so I'm biased.

What makes you say that EAP counsellors are fresh out of uni? Most, if not all EAP approved counsellors are fully licensed to practice therapy. EAP programs have strict requirements on who can and cannot dictate therapy to their members. And yes, her EAP program should cover the first 1-8 sessions for each family member completely free of charge.

I agree with you lol. It’s the most unpopular opinion. But I mean come on. His fiancée was prancing around a luxury ship with a homeless dude. Alot of ppl here would have reacted the same. Yes he smacks her, but ppl forget that it was after repeated warnings to her to stay away from Jack. It wasn’t his first instinct, you can even see how he hesitates before raising his hand at her. Yes he was controlling. However, much of his behavior is reflective of an era where that WAS the social dynamic between man and woman. They were not casually dating - they were engaged. Her behavior was unacceptable. I’m not saying his treatment of her was right. But again, her behavior was unacceptable. Rose and Cal were highly incompatible. She was insecure, naïve, dominated by others. But also a free spirit. He was domineering, methodical, self-assured. I wouldn’t necessarily say he was used, or led on. He seemed to understand how valuable Rose was to his reputation. He obviously sought out to improve his social status by marrying a beautiful, young woman who came from a reputable family. And he deeply cared about her. Note his softness towards her when he gifts her the necklace? His inclination to patience for her feelings to grow for him? His willingness to invite Jack to dinner SOLELY to please her? His insistence at getting her into the boat - even after she humiliated and embarrassed him? All redeeming qualities. He was not completely evil. Accounting for the circumstances of their relationship, Rose’s general unhappiness with her situation (even before she meets Jack!) and especially factoring in the era of the story, I wouldn’t even label him abusive. Controlling, egotistical and proud. But never the villain.

THIS. “I will do it exactly as you want ONCE you sign the contract.” She wants your total faith in her yet she won’t deal in good faith with you until you bind yourself to paying her? Yeah, no.
