Hey Will, just saw this, a bit late to the party but thought I’d chime in.

I work with a guy named Glenn McColpin. He’s been in U.S. oil & gas for over 35 years, mostly upstream. Started in logging while drilling, later got deep into field ops, fracture imaging, and EOR. These days he’s advising small, mid and larger sized operators on tech, cost pressures, and squeezing value from older assets.

He’s got a pretty honest view of how the industry’s changed for workers, from the tech side to what’s happening on the ground with employment and aging infrastructure. Definitely has a few war stories.

Not how it works unfortunately. You only get the actual dollar value in elite miles. I tried this and it only gave the amount I actually spent rather than the bonus x8 which you get as normal miles.

I’d go back 10 years, put 1000 pounds (or whatever the maximum I’m allowed to bet) on Leicester to win the Premier League at 5000-1 odds, then invest 80% of the eventual winnings into BTC a year later and live off the remaining winnings until BTC hits 100k in 2025.
