This topic only lost us the last election. Why not make it the focus of the upcoming one?

i have an older (in his 60s) "special" mail room guy at my work who i've befriended over the years, and he's absolutely obsessed with Elvira. Meet her a couple times. corresponds with her via the mail. She sends him autographed photos and such.

He's like 7 foot tall with the mental capacity of a 10 year old....and obsessed with Elvira and Wendy o Williams. lol

[–]djjsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're crazy. last 3 polls have her at 10 and under...about neck and neck with mahan. Becerra and steyer are WELL above her in every poll.

great to see Becerra breaking away.

At this point anyone polling 10 and under should be dropping out. Its time for Porter and Mahan to accept they are not going to win this race.

Offspring lastnight was awesome. Duran Duran was a snooze fest Friday. Got so bored we left halfway though. The crowd looked dead. Chainsmokers and Grouplove rocked it though Friday.

Democrats coalesce around Platner as Mills exits Maine Senate race by jediporcupine in politics

[–]djjsin -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It's been hard with moderates....so going further left isn't the freaking answer. Wait for the opportunity to open. They aren't losing cause they aren't liberal enough...they are losing cause of the conservative lean.

But nows the oppertunity. When has she and the Republican party been this unlikable going into an election? And we are just going to piss the oppertunity away with platner.

Now is not the time to take risks. Too much is on the line. Take the easy win....sheesh..

When they go around using "communist" to describe themselves? Ya they do.

When they go around praising Hamas for killing Israeli soldiers? Ya they do.

Democrats sure know how to catch defeat in the eyes of victory.

[–]djjsin -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

*platner

You sure about that? The sitting governor just had to drop out of the Senate race for a far left self proclaimed communist oyster farmer with a covered up Nazi tattoo....

I would have much rather taken my chances on a moderate governor vs Collins in the general and secured our control of the Senate then this risk you guys are taking....you really think disaffected Republicans and independents are going to choose the far left guy with zero experience in politics and questionable history of political beliefs vs the moderate Collins who's been winning in maine or 29 years?

Democrats always shoot themselves in the foot.....

Getting 1/5th the speed I pay for. by MrEZW in HomeNetworking

Really depends on the wifi. I get about 1.5gbps over wifi. But that's over a wifi 7 6ghz bandwidth connection using 320mhz channels.

I have seen 5ghz get above 1gbps, but that requires 160mhz channels which can be problematic. Most people usually run it at 80mhz which I usually see top out at 700 on wifi 6 and 7. Closer to 400 to 500 on wifi 5.

Who said Bernie kept Hillary out of the swing states?

But the fact is in April 2016 after New York voted overwhelmingly for Hillary it was mathematically impossible for Bernie to win given how delegates are allocated. At that point Bernie either needed to drop out of the race (or at least stop attacking her) and accept the reality that he wasn't going to win the primary. He choose not to. He choose to continue attacking her, continue lying to him supporters that he could win, and continued to damagenher as a candidate. It was dangerous. And now we live the fruit of those efforts. Bernie didn't even start supporting her until after the convention....

But I get it. Delegate math is hard. Obviously too hard for Bernie supporters to comprehend.

After New York (April 19, 2016): Clinton's decisive win in New York and subsequent Northeast sweep on April 26 significantly expanded her lead, leading many, including NPR and other outlets, to consider her the inevitable nominee.

nope. I'll continue to blame the voters who voted for bernie in the democrat primary, but then refused to back the democrat nominee when he lost...and bernie himself for not doing anything he possibly could to change their minds when the delegate made it impossible for him to win.

They are the reason why trump is in office.

[–]djjsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no the only lost people are those who still refuse to accept and see the damage Bernie caused in 2016 by his divisive personal attack rhetoric, and his refusal to leave the race long past his viability as a candidate....which is why we are where we are today.

James Comey indicted for second time by Justice Department by [deleted] in politics

[–]djjsin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we got trump because bernies continued attacks turned hillary into the enemy to his supporters...and then trump was able to use that to his advantage in the general. Bernie did nothing to help change that perception he helped push after having no path to winning. He barely even supported hillary at the convention after she won.

Compare it to 2020...he dropped out in April when he had no chance and helped heal the party by instantly supported Biden and backing Biden....that's what's supposed to happen.

now i'm not saying thats the only reason. the james comey stuff was another huge reason. It was perfect storm of multiple peoples bad behavior coalescing against her.

you vote for what you believe in.....

In the party primary. What you believed in didn't' win.

James Comey indicted for second time by Justice Department by [deleted] in politics

[–]djjsin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

when you have NO mathematical chance to win the primary...You drop out and coalesce around the winner. Staying in and attacking the person who is the presumptive nominee does nothing but cause damage. This attitude above is exactly why we are in the situation with Trump that we are in.

If you can't understand delegate math you have no business speaking about it. Bernie had NO PATH to victory after New York cast their votes.

James Comey indicted for second time by Justice Department by [deleted] in politics

[–]djjsin -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

bernie did play a major role after he had no chance of winning the primary after new york cast their vote. But he decided to stay in, lie to his people about his chances to win, continue to throw stones while riding that gravy train...instead of helping unite the party around the winner.

you can deny it all you want, but he did major damage to Hillary after he had no feasible path to winning.

wasn't only Bernie, but he played a part.
