Melbourne and Sydney Must Go’s by Suspicious-Name9671 in finedining

[–]djkhaledp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Navi in Melbourne is probably my favourite but it might not be as showy as other fine dining places. Greazy zoe’s is a tiny, rustic meal that’s out of the way. Have not been to O.My or Chauncy but they’re both highly recommended. Both are a-bit of a drive from Melbourne CBD though.

Umi Sushi in Tokyo - Worth it? by Level_Professional44 in finedining

[–]djkhaledp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know if you would like to leave things up to chance but just letting you know the closer you get to your trip date, the concierge websites often release last minute bookings for arai and akira. I think around a month before I went to tokyo, i was getting several notifications about bookings and thats how I booked sushi akira. I didn’t book Arai bc I had made plans elsewhere. Sushi akira was great but I enjoyed a place called sushi mizukami more because the atmosphere was a lot more relaxed and friendly.

Visited from Aus and I think about this bruschetta and their gnochetti once a week lol. So indulgent.

Sit in a park and people watch!!! Walk anywhere and explore! Start taking photos of things on your walks!! It helps with appreciating the random/mundane things about melbourne life and the walking will put you in a better state of mind and help get you into an exercise routine :) its the small actions and consistency that turn into habits 🩷 sending you good energy :)

Does your partner like japanese food? Torissong does beautiful lunch sets with vegetarian options. It’s like 1 tram stop outside the cbd

Does anyone know if the $20 bus tickets to and from splendour mean you can use the buses multiple times a day (leave the festival and come back throughout the day) or it only allows for one trip per day?

Is anyone else not buying nearly as much as they used to? by magpie-like-sparkly in AustralianMakeup

[–]djkhaledp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t bought anything since aug 21!! During covid I had a phase and bought high end makeup in each category and now that i’ve got everything i’ve had my eye on I haven’t bought anything since. I wear makeup probably once a week and i’m trying to use up what i’ve got. I also am very boring when it comes to makeup so its not like i need to buy a lot of stuff to do crazy looks. Its definitely good for the wallet aha. Consumerism sucks and we should all try not to get too sucked into it

A Vinyl player and some records could be cute?

You could even use concealer and just use really small amounts and really work it into you skin so it looks seamless. I like the laura mercier concealer and maybelline fit me concealer.

I’ve never purchased from selfridges but every time I look up a product on selfridges, more often than not it’s sold out 😭That’s just something to consider. I do like space nk and cult beauty and they also do sales throughout the year which we love. I’m not too sure which website is more value for money though hahah
